I went here to buy a loaf of gluten-free bread. The guy serving was not able to answer the most basic questions about what it was made from. I noticed that they also sell gluten free brownies...but these were on display beside regular pastries so cross contamination very possible. Didn’t feel that they really had any knowledge or cared in any way to understand the their gluten free offerings.
Had a really lovely gluten free breakfast here of chia red fruits delice and gluten free bread with chocolate spread. Gluten free options are very limited and you should probably ask them not to toast the bread to reduce the cross contact risk. I’ve eaten here safely multiple times and staff do seem to take allergies, etc. seriously.
I’m not going to contradict an experience of a celiac reviewer. I have an allergy to gluten, I’m not celiac. I visited Le Pain Quotidien in New York and now in DC. I love the fact that they have a very delicious, grainy GF bread, one of the best I have tasted. We were going to Tatte, but the lines were unacceptable to us, so we wound up here. I loved my delicious sandwiches, and they do have a GF carrot cake. I have not had a reaction after eating here.
