I go here very regularly (enough that the staff know what I am going to order before I tell them) and the food is good and service is friendly and knowledgeable. Gluten free waffle is my favorite. You aren’t stuck with just eggs. The gluten free English muffin is also tasty. It can get a bit busy, especially on Tuesdays which are double loyalty stamp day but I can usually get in and out within an hour.
Staff didn't seem knowledgeable and it wasn't until after I ate the potatoes, while checking out, that the owner said that I was told the potatoes aren't gluten free.
Having a specific gf menu to choose from is so much more fun than trying to find all the little “GF” marked items on a menu. Kayla, my server, was delightful and totally understood what precautions were needed. Chocolate chip waffles are my happy place and Le Peep delivered! So good. Wish we had one of these in Austin. I ate until I was stuffed and then a little more. Didn’t have any issues afterward. Highly recommend for breakfast!
When you’re being seated be sure to ask for a gluten free menu. The potatoes listed on the GF menu are NOT safe. Our waitress, Phoenix, said the hash browns were safe, and offered to sub in fruit, grits, or oatmeal for the potatoes. I got the Colorado egg white omelette with fruit and GF English muffin. It was delicious, and make sure to ask for Cholula!
This place did not disappoint! Gluten Free menu has so many options including multiple eggs Benedict, waffles, pancakes, skillet breakfasts, and omelettes. I had the waffle combo and had to have my husband help me finish it. Also, fantastic service! Everyone was so friendly.
About a year ago, I would have given 4 or 5 stars. However, they no longer have a gluten free menu, and it is a mixed bag with how knowledgeable the staff is about celiac needs and cross contamination concerns. My favorite thing there were the skillets, and they no longer do the potato’s separate from gluten items, so it is no longer an option. It’s sad, this was a weekly staple, but I haven’t been back in a while and have found better breakfast options in the area.
good food every time, and restaurant flexible to accommodate other allergies too.
We had the gluten free menu and ordered gluten free. A second waiter brought out our order and the potatoes looked fried. We asked, and he assured us they were gluten free. Our original waiter stopped by and looked concerned, and went to check and the potatoes has been cooked in the same fryer as every other flour based fried thing. This was after my wife has eaten two potatoes and is now sick. The manager came by but was completely nonchalant.
To top it all off they up charged her order $4.00 without any notice. $15.00 for pancakes, bacon and eggs with a side of gluten was not a pleasant breakfast.
Try the Le Peep in Frisco. We won't be back to this one ever.
My girlfriend has celiac and this place is perfect. The staff (so far) is very knowledgeable about gluten free vs gluten friendly. The breakfast menu is a 9 out of 10 according to my girlfriend.
I have only gone once; I got the Bacon Cheeseburger. They were out of GF buns but went ahead and got it on a GF english muffin. Delish! Will definetly be going back! Service was good and they have a regular menu in case you go with someone that doesn't have celiac. Prices are reasonable too!
My sweet husband drove us out here one Sunday morning, (he knew I was missing waffles bad!) it was wonderful! Nice atmosphere, friendly and very knowledgeable staff. They have a large selection of gf items, and include a gf English muffin as a side for most suggested entrees. I had an omelette and subbed my English muffin for a gf waffle that was well worth the drive. I can't wait for another "surprise" breakfast here!
Super. The separate gluten free menu had many options. I had avacado toast with salmon and it was tasty….and most importantly didn’t make me sick. I had a taste of my Hubby’s GF belgian waffle with eggs and fresh fruit. That was good too
