Can’t say enough good things about this place. Had their quiche and ordered a ton of pastries and a loaf of bread to go. Best bread I’ve had since going GF and the lemon bars are so good! It was so refreshing to go somewhere I knew I could eat everything on the menu. I went with someone who is not GF, and they even said you’d never know the food is GF. A must try when in Santa Barbara!
Probably THE Best GF restaurant/bakery I’ve ever been to. It’s a wonderful spot. Great location. Wonderful service. Manager walking around helping all the time. But the food. OMG the food. Had the eggs Benedict - unreal. And the hollandaise sauce was superb. Had almost a lil kick. The bread is WOW. Salivating thinking about it. Also had the warmed up cinnamon cake, corn muffin and the brownie cheesecake and the French toast!!!! And every single thing was a 10 out of 10!!! Huge fan. Want it delivered to me everyday of my life. Strongly suggest. The coffee was amazing too.
This place is AMAZING! It was one of those places where you cannot believe it is gluten free so you keep asking if everything is Gluten free. I have a wheat allergy so I asked them what kind of gluten free flour they use, and they do use a mix of potato and rice flours/Starches. They do have vegan options for those with other food intolerances. I’ll say, I had the best toasted ham and Swiss sandwich, on top of all the desserts. I’ve been in Santa Barbara for 2 days and I’ve already been there 3 times! Haha
As someone who has been diagnosed with Celiac Disease for 8 years, finding places that can accommodate for it are hard to find. I got recommended this cafe from another fellow celiac and had the best food I have ever had. The entire restaurant is 100% gluten free and the staff were very kind and helpful when ordering. There were so many different options that I had so much trouble choosing what I wanted to eat. Let’s just say I highly recommend the eggs Benedict and New York cheesecake. Would totally recommend and come back here as frequently I can!
Very delicious and an excellent variety of bakery items, breads, breakfast and lunch foods, and cakes. My husband especially enjoyed the quiche. I agree the crust was really good, I’m otherwise not a quiche person so I didn’t care for it. Chicken sandwich was good but lacked a little bit of flavor. They really shine in the pastry / cake department though!
Oh my gluten free goodness! My daughter and I were so excited about this bakery and cafe that we went 3 times in two days. I had avocado toast, mocha & my daughter had an omelette with homemade delicious bread, hot chocolate & got a muffin to go for later. SB doesn’t have a lot of GF choices so we happily went back for a late lunch and got a salad & sandwich( which was huge). The next day went back for goodies for our drive home. Lilac is heavenly & a Celiacs dream. Thank you we felt like we were back in Europe. Can you please expand to The Bay Area. Like SF, Alameda, Berkeley or Oakland?
Great little place on a nice street. Abundance of options. The dessert options didn’t have a lot of vegan choices, but did have a couple. The line was long, but quick and the food was delicious and satisfying. My whole family had something different and everyone enjoyed what they ordered.
If I could give 10 stars I would! Shared the turkey club and the chicken, spinach and pesto sandwiches plus the lemon cheesecake. Yum! Amazing food
We just came across the bakery cafe while on vacation. Being able to order ANYTHING on the menu was so freeing. I felt NORMAL again!
The breakfast waffles and French toast looked divine, however, it was lunch time so I ordered a Turkey club sandwich. We all left with full stomachs, and with a bag of treats to go.
Their cheesecake!!! Unbelievable! The brownies? Delicious!
We will undoubtedly return on our next visit to the area.
This was heaven! A fully gluten-free place with ample of choices from a healthy sandwich to soup to cake to … an extensive gluten-free menu with a bakery, nice lemonade and with a great setting for in and outside seating. Loved the choice and the taste and was able to pick everything from the menu. Also in comparison with other fully gluten-free places this is the best. Heaven! Wish they were closer by :-). Can I give them 6 stars?
This place is a must-visit! Came for lunch, then had to go back the next day for breakfast. Their bread is thick and fluffy which was great in both a sandwich and French toast. The pastry case is unbelievable. All types of cakes, cheesecakes, and pies. You can get a single slice or purchase the whole thing. Muffins, cookies, scones, coffee cake, tiramisu. Truly everything you could want. Lots of indoor seating and several tables outside too.
Being able to walk into a bakery and not have to ask what is and isn’t gluten free is truly an unbelievable feeling. We got the chocolate chip cookie, linzer tarts, lemon bar, and brownie. Everything was amazing and honestly reasonably priced being gluten free. A must stop shop in the area!
DELICIOUS Belgium waffle with high quality (sweet) fruit and deeeelicious coffee as well! My husband is not GF but he loved the bread his omelet came with! Can’t wait to go again tomorrow on day two of our little getaway to Santa Barbara.
