Food was great, server was knowledgeable about GF, but... they use their dedicated GF fryer for glutened items when it is busy. The server told me that it is not usually a dedicated GF fryer during the summer months at all.

we were slightly skeptical with some of the other reviews, but it was amazing! we shared a cup of lobster bisque so thick we weren't sure HOW it was gluten free, and a plate of fried seafood and fries. I was super nervous but 24 hours later, we still feel fine! My husband would have known immediately and still feels great. We'll definitely be going back!

Ate here last summer after reading it was good for celiacs. However my 10 yr old celiac daughter was sick afterwards. Thought we'd give it s other chance this year but this time it was me who didn't handle it well. Loved the place before we were diagnosed with celiac. Not so much now.

Have eaten here before nice gluten free menu. Wondering out loud why the can't have gluten free pancakes it would be a nice touch.

Three of us eat GF. We all had the lobster roll. In addition there was 1 order of GF French Onion Soup and 1 of the Camp Potatoes. All were delicious and no one got sick. Would go back there any time I am in the area.

Went for the fired combo platter. Dedicated fryer. Staff was very knowledgable. The GF fried food was the best ever. I will be back.

This place was my idea of gluten free heaven. I had the lobster bisque and a fried haddock sandwich. They have great gf options, they are super knowledgeable and the food was delicious. I will definitely go back!

We ate here in the Winter and had no problems but today was a different story. My 9 year old son who has Celiac got very sick after eating the "gf" pasta.

The food here is pretty basic, but anyone with gluten issues knows how hard it is to find safe fried food. Getting to eat fried haddock was SUCH a thrill - and it was exceptionally good. High quality, fresh fish. One quibble for celiacs - they don't seem to do much in the kitchen to differentiate GF dishes (eg secial plates, flags, stickers). I actually intend to inquire about it. I double checked with the server when the food came out and had no problems, but I think there is potential there for mix-ups. Just something to keep in mind, but I would absolutely go back again!

I had the fresh hommade gluten free pasta with marinara sauce and veggies; it was absolutely fantastic. The staff even made me aware before I was seated that my order would take extra time because the kitchen prepared the gf pasta in separate pots and had to boil fresh water to ensure no cross contamination. I will revisit for sure.

We were there on a late summer weekday. The place was not packed, but it still took an hour to get our food after we ordered. The server knew a bit but could not answer specific questions. The celiacs in the family stayed away from the fried food options since the fryer isn't guaranteed. This limited the selection. Hamburger on a bun was good, baked halibut also.

The menu is amazing, they offer so many choices for gluten free almost everything on the menu is able to be modified to be gluten free. I ordered chicken strips with fries which was all perfect and didn't make me sick, but what took the 5th star from this restaurant was that they served my GF meal with non GF sauces on the plate. I was taken back by this. But overall it was a great restaurant

I was a little wary of eating here after reading these reviews and those on Trip Advisor but we decided to give it a shot. It was a busy July day but I quizzed the hostesses on the gluten free food. They had all the right answers so we took a table upstairs. Our waitress was wonderful. My celiac 12 year old and I had the gf chicken tenders and French fries. They have a dedicated fryer! They were both delicious. My husband had the steamers and lobster dinner. He enjoyed them both. We would definitely eat here again!

The best GF clam chowder, hands down. Good lobster rolls. I'm sensitive and I've never been sick here.

I got a GF burger, fries and a GF beer. Taste was great ! Unfortunately, 2 hours later, I felt really bad. My stomach was aching and I threw up my whole meal. I did not sleep at all since I was feeling nauseated. I may have been contaminated by gluten but I doubt it because those are not my usual symptoms when I eat gluten by accident. So I suspect food poisonning. I wrote them an email about what happened and they told me they look their process and food and could not find why I was sick. I asked them to refund me and they did. For that, I will give them another try.

Separate gluten free menu and very knowledgeable staff. During tourist season there is not a designated gf fryer so no fried seafood, chips or French fries for us. But the lobster roll on a gf bun was delicious. The bun was great! Gf clam chowder also wonderful. Highly recommend this place if you are passing through Freeport as we were!!!

The gluten-free chicken strips were delicious, as was the salad. Great service & attention to allergy.

While there is a gluten free menu and a dedicated deep frier, the manager stated that he does not recommend people with Celiac disease eat anything from it. Apparently, it is right next to the regular friers and gluten batter can drop in.
