Absolutely delicious food. Both times I’ve been I’ve gotten the ghost chicken and grandma’s chicken without the tea egg. They’re great if you tell them what allergies you have. I wanted to come back before I even finished eating the first time I visited. New favorite
Not as gluten free as some reviews make out. There were only two dishes that could be made GF on the menu. However the chicken broth dish I had was amazing. So I would have given 5* to the taste of the food. Just lost a * with very little options and not the most reassuring staff member.
Staff knew their stuff. Limited choices but amazing food. Have to let the staff know you have celiacs so they can modify dishes
If you are ok with a mixed kitchen (some gluten mostly in soy sauce) and limited options, this place is worth it. It specializes in rice noodles (Yunnan) with broths and mix-ins. I had the shrimp tomato-curry soup. It was delicious. In total there were three options out of six that are considered gluten-free (the non-gluten free have some sort of soy sauce, I think). The place has been listed in best restaurant lists and is pretty cheap - under $20 hospitality included. Had no problems after eating there. Usually with contamination, I immediately get dh right below my elbow as well as feel ill. The wait staff was well informed, helpful and had no problem talking to the chef to double check things.
