Hosts Giovanni and Paula provided wonderful home-style cooking and conversation in a beautiful setting high above Lake Como. The menu wasn’t marked for GF, but it didn’t matter. They understood our gluten-free needs and were able to recommend items and accommodate us easily.
We ordered a delicious antipasti plate with local meats and cheeses, complete with GF crackers. Our main dish was a quail ragu over risotto; not fancy, but very tasty. Dessert was a yummy lemon panna cotta, very light and flavorful. The house red and white wines were also very good and inexpensive. And we finished our meal with a limoncello of course.
In good weather, they set up tables outside in the courtyard. But it was cool out so we opted for indoor seating. Call (they speak English) or text to make a reservation - with only 12 seats inside, they can fill up fast.
A wonderful dinner experience to end our Italian vacation…we would go back again!
