Although the restaurant staff was great and informed me of appetizers that are not actually gluten free (even though they are marked as GF on the menu) due to their preparation methods, the actual meal (which I was assured would be gluten free) made me very sick. The ingredients may be gluten free, but the kitchen and/or preparation methods are clearly not and are unsafe for people with celiac, allergies, or intolerances. On the upside, the food at least tasted good as it poisoned me.
Update: The manager was very thorough in investigating where my meal was cross-contaminated and addressing the issues with the staff. I am hopeful that the issues have been resolved to prevent future gluten contamination and will update this review if I try this restaurant again.

Our waiter was dismissive of my requests to avoid cross contamination and told me “potatoes are the starch with the fillet so there’s no gluten.” Told me the creme brûlée was gluten free but it came with a wheat cookie on top. I was given little reason for faith in the food’s gluten free ness while I was at log haven and the current state of my stomach confirms my absence of faith. It’s a nice location with upper-mid scale food and an extensive wine list, but it was not gluten free.

It is the #1 romantic dinner stop in SLC on trip advisor. I’m hoping to go soon and give a more comprehensive review.
