Wow...they have dedicated fryer for frys, Chicken Wings, Potato Soup and Shrimp and Crab Soup GLUTEN Free New recipes. They know their kitchen and took great care of us. Both my Wife and I have several issues and have had Gluten issues for over 5 years. Eaten here twice now zero issues They checked and cleared everything we asked with management and kitchen management
They have a separate menu, although they do make a cross contamination warning as it is a shared kitchen but I had no issue. I had a garden salad (without croutons) w/ranch dressing, shrimp with a loaded baked potato and rice. Everything was delicious and the size and number of shrimp was more than I expecting!
I have Celiacs Disease and eating out is nearly impossible. Much to my surprise LongHorn has a Gluten Free menu and they have such great GF practice in their kitchen that I've never gotten sick. Tonight we did take away for the first time and the steak was less than appetizing so I called (which I almost never do) and I was created by a friendly and VERY helpful Manager that took are of my steak by offering a replacement and a new side (which I said wasn't necessary) AND offered me an appetizer or dessert for the inconvenience. I was limited to Gf choices so I opted for a molten lava cake for my husband (lucky guy!) and she was very happy to help. I am so happy to see they have AMAZING customer service and great Gluten Free practice. It's nice knowing I have a safe place to eat! Update: they have a gf menu but if you look carefully you can find some safe foods but the cross contamination risk is extremely high and the manager didn’t really seem to have any interest in listen to me. I ate a plain small side salad.
Provided a gluten free menu, there were no appetizer options but the dinner options were good. I had steak with lobster tail and sweet potato! Was outstanding! Would go back again. I worry with chain restaurants because of cross contamination but they handled my meal well!
For a chain restaurant, they do gluten free fairly well. No specific gluten free items, but most of the stack dishes can be made gluten free. Make sure you don’t have any sauces.
Good allergy menu in that things are labeled. That said, if you are avoiding more that just gluten it’s a fairly limited selection. I ordered salmon for my daughter as they said they had some not marinated. The waitress came back and said that the smaller 4oz salmon that she ordered was marinated but the larger 6oz salmon was wasn’t so they could make the larger salmon. Of course they charged for the 6oz which I thought was pretty tacky since that wasn’t what she ordered but she didn’t get sick.
Decent gluten free menu which can be provided if asked for it. Servers are not very knowledgeable about celiac/gluten free. If you stick to the basics and look at their website prior to going you will be fine. I had a burger (no bun) and baked potato and did not get I’ll.
I've eaten here many times and have never gotten sick. I always explain my situation and don't ask for bread at the table. I'm very sensitive and love eating here. ** Aug 2018 - Longhorn hasn’t been as safe for me lately. The past 3-4 times I’ve been there I have had to send back my steak. I got sick for the first time eating here.
I’ve eaten here several times and not gotten sick. Not a ton of options, especially if you have other allergies, but they were knowledgeable and had a detailed allergen menu.
LongHorn is a franchise that I go to in my town, so I assumed it would be good here are well. Ask for the GF menu. Speak to to waiter/waitress. Tell them you have gluten allergy. They have a menu. My favorite is chopped steak with sautéed onions(NO WINE SAUCE OR ONION STRAWS) and mashed potatoes. They do offer other items
They have their gluten free menu online. Never had a problem when ordering off that menu.
The food here is very good, but there aren’t any real GF options.
We’ve eaten here twice. You have to really LOOK through the menu, but there’s quite a bit. The first time was awesome, no problems. Manager explained the menu, and made sure everything was as it should be. Tonight...we double checked my choices, asked the server to be sure with the kitchen, and I am already sick. So disappointing.
really helpful staff and knowledgeable , very accomodating. They had an additional menu that showed which dishes contained gluten, including sides and also showed which dishes they could modify to be gluten free.
Our server and kitchen staff were great with my need to be gluten free (celiac) and soy-free (allergy). Changes were made to my entree prep so it would be safe for me. Nima tested everything on my plate and it was all gluten free. Can’t wait to be able to afford to go there again.
Well, we went out to eat here as a family (we have two toddlers) and we are all gluten sensitive but my husband is celiac. When we walked in and asked about a gluten free menu it was joked about and not taken seriously. Our waiter had ZERO knowledge on the matter. And actually brought us wheat bread and set it down in front of my two kids... When I asked of this was gluten free, he laughed, said no and then asked if no one could eat it. I replied that we were all following a gluten free diet due to sensitivities and allergies, that we established that with him upon entering the restaurant. It was later in the evening, maybe a dozen other diners, if that, and it still took an hour to get our food that was cooked incorrectly. We were beyond disappointed with our experience here. It's not a restaurant I'd recommend to anyone with any type of sensitivity or allergy to gluten. I doubt any precautions were taken regarding preparation in our food. If our waiter didn't take the matter seriously, how can I trust he let the kitchen staff know about our table, much less explain everything to them?? Poor poor service. Poor quality in food. Just bad alllllllll the way around.
Have a GF menu with several choices. Waitress was knowledgeable and helpful. Great meal. No problems. Returned to same restaurant 2 weeks later and had the worse waitress ever. VERY rude and flippant. Told me there is no difference between regular and GF!!! Will NEVER go back. Rating fell from 5 to 1.
Not one of my most favorite restaurants for gluten-free, they often get our take-out order incorrect, but when I do go, I always get the spare ribs. They are very good. Personally, I don’t think there’s very much of a selection for gluten-free people, especially if you do not want a steak.
Excellent service. When told I was gluten free he brought fruit compote as an appetizer while others enjoyed bread and butter. They do offer gluten free menu but unknown about a fryer (don’t like fried anything) so didn’t matter. Croutons were left off salad. No gluten free desserts but too stuffed anyway.
Went to lunch with a friend. I was a huge fan of their salmon before having to go GF. Since it's no longer an option for me (not very good plain with no marinade), I never eat there. But she chose Longhorn due to the need for a halfway meeting point, so ...I ate the loaded baked, steamed broccoli and sauteed mushrooms. Within 30 minutes of eating, I ran to the restroom before leaving and was super ill. Didn't feel to badly the next day but was sick again the following day. Not sure how I'd get glutened from that meal, perhaps the mushrooms. But I'll definitely stick with Outback for any future steakhouse meals.
I tried LongHorn while we were with family. I specifically told the waiter what I wanted: steak with no seasonings or butter, a kids hamburger with no seasonings or bun. An hour later, my steak came out loaded with seasonings and butter and my kids hamburger with a bun. We left after confirming this with the waiter and manager, with no apologies or offer to remake the food. We will never go back here.
I’m very new to gluten intolerance and Longhorn was great. They didn’t have a copy of their gluten free menu on hand but wait staff was definitely knowledgeable about the topic and took precautions to avoid cross contamination and make sure everything came out as expected. Would recommend!
Manager was very nice, took a while to find menu, but explained that they take gluten allergies seriously and take every precaution in the kitchen to ensure GF. And my burger hit the table with a bun on it... waitress definately heard me say gf, offered non gf sides, then reclarified and still messed it up. They did immediately bring out a redo, but no thanks. Got to watch the fam eat, apparently I didnt miss anything.
