I get sick every time I eat here. I ordered the parmesan chicken with no breadcrumbs and told them it was a gluten allergy and I was still sick after. It was absolutely delicious but the same thing has happened twice
All 4 gf members of my family got sick after eating here last night. Very disappointing, as we have never had a problem with Longhorns elsewhere.
I had a horrible anaphylactic reaction to wheat eating off the gluten free menu. Will not be eating here again
They had an allergy menu with a specific page that listed gluten free options and how to order them. I got the Parmesan crusted chicken without the breadcrumbs with mashed potatoes and broccoli as sides. My waiter was very respectful of my allergy and let me know my food was prepared separately.
Staff listened as I told them I was allergic to gluten, meal still came out wrong. After another plate came that was supposed to be correct I ate it and still ended up very ill afterwards. Do not recommend if you get sick from gluten!!
My daughter and I are here. Cesar salad no croutons, filet, mashed and baked potato. All great and no reactions!
Longhorn has a great menu for GF. They had no problem getting the GF menu. They had many options. Our waiter Kevin was great. I highly recommend Longhorn.
My server Hannah was very knowledgeable about celiac disease. Their gluten sensitive menu has some discrepancies on it and some recommendations that seem risky. But, my server spoke with the manager to make sure my order would be safe. She recommended that I leave off the dry seasoning because they could not guarantee what was in it. My meal was great and I feel fine so far.
The waitress listened to me about my gluten free allergy but I don’t think she was that attentive. Did not get sick, but would not feel comfortable going there again.
They have a “guide” to help you. Waitstaff have absolutely no clue! The waitress was so rude!
I ordered a ribeye, sweet potato and steamed broccoli. My plate came out with a piece of cheddar cheese and a piece of white rice on the plate. I used my Nima to test the food, and it indicated gluten free. I ate all but where the cheese and rice were touching the steak. I talked to the manager about finding those items on my plate after I had discussed food allergies and gluten issues with the waitress. I told him he needs to work on more training with the staff, as someone with food issues should never find those random things on their plate. However, I did not have any issues after eating.
I had the potato soup, a filet mignon and asparagus. All were delicious and I had no issues. I’m Celiac and very sensitive. The waitress was knowledgeable and helpful.
Knowledgeable staff. Extensive allergen supplement to their menu.
Allergen menu is clearly written, but there weren’t many options. Also the service is slow. Not a bad meal but this location seems poorly managed.
Be careful eating here! Went after the dinner rush on a Tuesday evening, not too busy. Advised server of gluten allergy/sensitivity and she said no problem and got me the gf/allergy menu. Ordered the sirloin and grilled shrimp, plain sweet potato and a cup of the shrimp and lobster chowder, all are listed as gluten free. She even wrote gluten allergy on the order pad. Everything tasted great, steak cooked perfectly but on my drive back to the hotel only 12 minutes away I started to feel sick to my stomach and itchy welts appearing.
I’ve eaten here several times. The food is great and the waiters caring. I’ve never gotten sick. I get the New York strip, baked potato with butter, sour cream, and the side salad no croutons or cheese. It’s great! I order steak medium because their medium rare is more rare than usual. I have celiac, no reaction
They have a list; but every time I’ve eaten there I’ve gotten sick. Maybe a spice or marinade / cross contamination. Not recommended for celiacs
Food was meh felt sick after staff acted as if they New what celiac disease was 😕
Very disappointed as the reviews were high. The hostess was very clueless gave me big book of nutritional info never told me last page was menu. Cause I must be the only person that’s come in with gluten allergy. Waitress was very rude kept argue about what I could have but was different than what was on gluten menu. Never told me their was an up charge to a salad that was on the gluten menu that had my choices I was to choose from. My husbands steak was burnt like really really burnt. And their was no sorry no discount nothing. And when I asked about up price I got a lesson on how expensive strawberries and pecans are. Will not be back ever felt like my allergy was an inconvenience been a long time since I’ve had this bad of service and treated this bad. And honestly steak was terrible and baked potato was cold
It took the staff ~15 minutes to find their allergen menu. Then the waitress didn’t seem like she cared about being careful with the order at all. We had to confirm that she heard and understood there was a wheat “allergy” (easier than explaining celiac). I got a steak, the mushrooms and onions, and broccoli. Steak was fine, the mushrooms were delicious. Broccoli was mushy, bland and over cooked. I was sick the next few days after eating out here, so I suspect it was cross contaminated in the kitchen.
Dine here quite often. Always good food and knowledgeable staff. They have even informed me that I shouldn’t have some things that would seem safe if I’m celiac. Highly recommended it.
Staff did not seem very familiar with gluten free options
They have an extensive allergen menu. But my waitress did not even attempt to accommodate me. Home girl legitimately rolled her eyes at me when I was trying to ask her questions about menu items to make sure they were safe for me. Not to mention I waited 20 minutes and couldn’t even get my salad brought out to me so I could eat something while my boyfriend was eating bread and soup. Won’t be back.
Staff brought me gf menu options first time I went after celiac diagnosis. Now I go often and have a delicious steak, broccoli and baked potato. It is always cooked perfect and I have never been sick from eating there.
They had a large gluten free menu and the waitress was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about gluten free offerings and preparation. I had chicken wings for an appetizer and for dinner I had the Renegade sirloin, house salad with no croutons and mashed potatoes all with no reaction. (I have Celiac disease) I will definitely be back!
The bartenders are always the nicest and we always have the best service!!! Highly recommend eating there always!!
Just diagnosed with Celiac disease and the waitress and cook we're SO helpful and cautious. The cook even caught that the seasoning for the steaks had gluten in it and did a different one for me!
Steaks, potatoes, salads, shrimp, salmon, very good gluten free menu. Gluten free knowledgeable.
They are more “gluten sensitive” than “GF”. I find their menu very hard to read. I always have to ask staff to give me both the allergen and regular menus in order to get full information. Some seasonings have gluten. Staff seem familiar but not well informed about GF. As a celiac, I just get a salad with grilled chicken.
Gluten free menu. Had steak and baked potato. Got along fine.
There is NO gluten free menu. When you ask, they hand you an intricate spreadsheet that lists every item on their menu cross referenced with every allergy. Gee, thanks for making an already stressful event I’d trying to safely tat out even worse. Staff did no seem very concerned or knowledgeable about allergens. Tons of gluten flying through this place between bread, croutons, fried food, breaded foods. Only thing I felt safe eating was the broccoli. Overall miserable experience
The waiter didn’t really have a clue, but at least DID know where the gf menu was, and wrote down that I had an “allergy” to gluten so that they would prepare my food accordingly- had great food, the gf menu was legit, and I didn’t get sick
I ordered the Napa Grilled Chicken with a side of mashed potatoes and a side salad with no croutons. I did not get sick, and it was delicious :)
We ate 3 nights while visiting Ft Collins. Nice GF menu. We were waited on by Kaylee, Austin and Robert J. All 3 were very aware of my GF needs. Fast service and food cooked perfectly. Manager was great and everything went smoothly. Great food and great service and food priced very reasonably.
I have been eating here for awhile and have NEVER gotten sick. I have celiac. They have an updated gluten free menu, and the waiters are very knowledgeable.
** Aug 2018 - Longhorn hasn’t been as safe for me lately. The past 3-4 times I’ve been there I have had to send back my steak. I got sick for the first time eating here.
Staff was very knowledgeable. More than most. Our server was very quick to ensure that we were well taken care of. Food was good as well.
Good options and great food! Long wait on the weekends.
I’m celiac and very sensitive. This is one of my favorite go-to places. Let them know that you have an ‘allergy’ and they will take extra precaution. One downside is that their allergen menu can be difficult to navigate, ask for a regular menu, also, to cross reference.
Allergy menu was good and i didnt get sick
Ask for a gluten-free menu at the hostess’s desk. Plenty of the usual steakhouse fare: ribs, veggies, etc.
Second time there this year since I had to change my diet and each time was great, good food and no bad reactions 😊
I asked if there was a GF menu and the wait staff new exactly what I was talking about. Very helpful and understanding.
Separate GF menu. They said they had a designated area for preparing. Did not get sick.
They have a gluten free listing to accompany their menu. Many items are on the gluten free list, some saying how they can change it to be gluten free. I had a nice juicy steak with a yummy sweet potato. Great food!
Separate gluten free menu, knowledgeable staff, and yummy food!
They have a very extensive gluten binder/menu. Staff is mindful of allergies when stated to be cautious.
They brought my gf salad out with croutons, I reminded them no croutons when I ordered. Sick before we even left the restaurant!!
Never had a problem here! Make sure to ask for the gluten free menu and specify it is an "allergy"
I placed a to-go order, the employe was extremely knowledgeable, and I actually felt a sense of relief considering my anxiety is at its worst when eating out. The employee, Demario was beyond polite and kinda restored my faith in customer service. He actually knew how to interact with me as a customer as well as someone with food allergies!
Server was new, but didn't know ANYTHING about dealing with customers who are gluten-free. We specifically asked her to let the kitchen know we were gluten and dairy free, but all food came out prepared incorrectly. The restaurant didn't comp the meal or give us any sort of discount - very bad business.
The waiter was very accommodating to my gluten sensitivity. He even assured my order would be handled carefully and relayed my restrictions to the kitchen.
Ask for their allergen menu! It breaks down everything on the menu and the allergens that it contains. It was very helpful when ordering! Not sure if they dedicate any part of the kitchen though.
