Large gluten free menu with lots of options. We had a great experience and the food was exceptional!! We brought a bun for our son’s kid’s burger, I think the waiter said the fries were in a separate fryer but double check just in case. We had a couple of different appetizers, a few different dishes, crème brûlée for dessert, and drinks; everything was so good!! Service and atmosphere were excellent!
Delicious place. Ask for a GF menu before you’re seated, but also look at the regular menu because the chefs are very willing to adjust dishes.
I can’t do the buttered almond/pecan grouper toppings so instead we did the crab topping (great) or lobster topping (second best) because both are cooked in “lemon butter” which is actually DF (margarine based).
Couldn’t do the twice baked potato DF but can do regular baked potato or side of mixed veggies.
Great GF menu with a lot of great choices. Server was very knowledgeable and checked with the kitchen if there was something he was unsure about. Their salads and twice baked potatoes have always been gluten free. Many other great seafood and steak options. Crème Brûlée was amazing! Server was very careful to serve hush puppies or bread on opposite side of the table. Great experience.
I actually work here! I just found out about this app and had to download it because I have Hashimoto’s and always spend extra time looking for GF options when eating out.
Let me tell you, Lagniappe is GREAT at making sure guests with allergies and food sensitivities are well taken care of. Ask for a GF menu at the host stand, there are a lot of really good options. Blackened redfish is my favorite! We bring out complimentary hush puppies at the start of the meal, but don’t touch them, they aren’t gluten free. Other than that, there’s no course you will be forced to skip due to gluten. We have apps, entrees, and a gluten free dessert (crème brûlée). The salads are safe, we don’t even have croutons in the kitchen and the dressing is an herb vinaigrette. Every order that goes to the kitchen is printed on the kitchen ticket with a gluten free note attached to the item that needs to be GF, so all hands in the kitchen that touch that plate will have new gloves on them to avoid cross contamination. We even put the plate in a separate spot in the heat window so it’s not close to another dish with gluten.
I hope this helps, and please feel free to request me (Natalie) because I’m the only server there that also eats gluten free, so I will understand your needs. Not to say that my coworkers are less knowledgeable, because they aren’t, but I’ll have your back and maybe even some insider tips to spice things up 😁
This place was amazing, I had the Grouper Almondine and it comes with a side salad (already gf) and a twice baked potato (already gluten free.) They had a separate gluten free menu and the waiter was very knowledgeable. I will be back for the crème Brûlée (only gf dessert.) The twice baked potato was the highlight and my husband agrees!!
We ended up here on a date night and it was so good! The waiter seemed to breeze over how many times I said gluten free which made me nervous even though I was clearly ordering from the GF menu. Turned out to be really good. I got the Filet Oscar. My husband did surf and turf and the waiter checked twice to see if it was safe for me to try it. They had a few GF app choices and crème brûlée for dessert.
Server was knowledgeable about gluten free menu items and gluten in general. Most entrees can be made gluten free except fried items. Blackened redfish with crab and lobster were excellent! Entrees are served with gf salad and baked potato. I have celiac’s and had no reaction. Love this place!
I wouldn’t trust their steak. I tasted beef bouillon which was not only weird but I think I got glutened From it. They should use only butter to finish. I have had the grouper almondine several times with success.
Came here due to previous reviews but did not have same experience. Told server daughter was celiac and server seemed confused. Told her we would just order chicken and rice but needed to avoid cross contamination in kitchen from gluten. Asked her to go ask manager or kitchen staff. She then leaned in and said “what is it again?” She did not come back until food was ready and I asked her if she asked anybody and her response was a nod. My daughter did not eat the food...not worth it. Extremely disappointing experience. Normally we ask and speak with manager but that did not happen either. Can not recommend. This place can not be safe for Celiacs if they are not even educating staff. Server didn’t even know what gluten was!!
Plenty of options and wonderful staff. The food is delicious!
We started with the Blackened Scallops with pineapple rum butter sauce. This appetizer was divine. You will want your own. My husband and I joked about the appropriateness of licking the sauce bowl in public it was so good. I had the Tournedos of Beef and it was equally delicious. The Salad was just so-so but the baked potato was great.
Pro: Gluten free menu with lots of options! Great waitress!Con:The house salad is 99% lettuce and has way too much dressing.
