All dishes on the menu can be made gluten free upon request. Dairy free is accommodated as well. The wait staff at Luigi’s is knowledgeable and attentive, the food is delicious, and they have a dedicated gluten free fryer. I do wish that entree portion sizes were larger, however, because many entrees are not filling enough.
I would not recommend this restaurant for someone with Celiac disease. The gluten free food is not prepared in a dedicated space in the kitchen nor do they have separate pots, pans and cutting boards so there is definitely a high risk of cross contamination. I asked two waiters what protocols the kitchen follows to avoid cross contamination and they didn't know what I was talking about so they brought the owner over. He was rude and said they try their best but are not perfect and it was up to me to decide if it was safe for me. I asked politely and felt belittled by his attitude. I was surprised at his lack of empathy since his daughter has celiac. He came back to the table later and tried to make jokes but I was turned off at that point. I have been to many restaurants that were very aware, understanding and accommodating for Celiacs and I was shocked at the way I was treated. Needless to say it ruined my evening and I will not be returning again.
Nice selection of gluten-free foods. My daughter (gluten-intolerant) shared a very healthy portion with her gluten-tolerant little sister without us worrying they didn't have enough to eat. Other food was also yummy.
They were very nice to two moms and four kids and accommodating. One thing to keep in mind, they do not have a kids' menu, but they offer 1/2 orders of pasta. Yummy food, but our bill (with a nice tip) was $200 for two adults and four kids. Granted one of the kids had an adult meal, but another had a half-order, and mine shared a dish. One cappuccino and we all had dessert, but no appetizers or other drinks.
Gluten free menu available, very decent selection. Food was good. (gluten free breadcrumbs used)
