Excellent food the gluten free clam chowder was amazing! The gluten-free rolls make it possible to have anything else on the menu as well. They were light and fluffy. They even have gluten free lobster bisque! We would highly recommend it if you are in the financial district in San Francisco. The chef created my husband's gluten-free dinner first and then served it. He made a point to let us know he created his first on purpose so there was no cross-contamination between food which was not gluten free. We appreciated his attention to detail.
Had a pretty good experience here, but did have a SLIGHT cross-contact reaction afterwards. I'm pretty sensitive celiac, so it could have been as simple as someone didn't change their gloves. Didn't last for too long and wasn't too severe, and the GF bun was absolutely INCREDIBLE! Drenched in butter and so soft, I could eat them all day. They offer GF buns for all their rolls, their clam chowder is GF, and they have a dedicated fryer for their french fries. If I visit SF again, I would just be a little more specific with them about cross-contact needs since so many others have had good experiences here.
This is a MUST if in San Francisco! Probably one of my top 3 places in the area. Had the Luke’s trio: mini lobster roll, crab roll, shrimp roll on the most delicious gf bread I’ve ever had at a restaurant. VERY TASTY! They are soaked in a bit of butter too which is heavenly. Also, had lobster bisque, it does not disappoint. Both soups are gf and all slider rolls can be made gf. I loved the trendy vibe inside, great 80/90’s light music and fun laid back atmosphere. 10 out of 10!
Ordered the Luke’s trio as it was my first here and I wanted to sample as much as I could. The server gave me generous samples of both the clam chowder and lobster bisque without me even asking. Each was delicious. It was hard to believe I would enjoy the rolls after eating those soups but I did. My favorite was the lobster bisque and the shrimp roll. I am definitely coming back for more. Friendly staff and great food!
Had a tremendous time here. They really packed some meat into mine. (I think way over 6 Oz ). Super safe and I’m very sensitive. They set up separate prep. Keep coming until I hear otherwise. They do have a new guy that wasn’t trained yet so the girl said she would do it. Good communication. 👌🏻
I did the trio sampler and the clam chowder. The clam chowder was delicious!! The first one I’ve had gf in a long time. All the sandwiches were delicious and the bread was even really good! I didn’t get sick at all. The guy who took my order knew to ask his manager about what to do for gf needs and he even checked on the beverages to see if they were gf. The level of concern that was taken made me feel safe.
Walk in, tell them you have Celiac and no other explanation needed. They get it.
The lobster rolls was overflowing with huge delicious chucks. The fries and poppy seed slaw are safe as well.
We will be back to try the crab roll next.
Definitely stop here if you are in town or a local like me.
They were so cautious about my allergies and the food was straight delicious. They were kind enough to pull out their recipe and check for specific ingredients. They also asked if I was celiac to confirm what level of cross contamination was necessary for my dietary needs
Both GF and non-GF in what I believe to be a small shared kitchen. They offer GF Lobster Rolls, Shrimp Rolls, Crab Rolls, Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque. Cape cod chips and Maine sodas. Pricey, but not bad. I got the Lobster Roll Trio sampler at the 3 different butters were great.
Our server was almost as happy as I was, to be able to serve a fabulous, safe GF lobster roll and clam chowder. I’ll go back every time I get to the city!
The business owner's daughter has celiac so the staff are very understanding of gluten free. They'll explain how the food is prepped and what is safe or unsafe. The buns are tasty and don't feel like an after-thought. Also a great business to support with delicious food! The only baffling thing is why they keep the gluten free part a secret. Put it on your menu somewhere!!
