Horrible waited 1 hour for food and didn’t even know if my waiter was alive because he never checked in but the kitchen guy checked in on us more than him. He got told we had a few minutes until our food would come out and we waited another 35 minutes. The gluten free was not cooked and wasn’t the right type pizza I ordered. The pasta was completely raw and tasted like sulfur.
The food was just OK. I did have a slight reaction. I had the 3 course choosing the Minestrone (pretty good), sirloin (a little dry), subbed fries (just ok), asparagus (good), fresh fruit that was mostly unripe. I might come back and try something different the next time I’m in Palm Springs because the ambience was fun. The server was not very friendly.
Had a very nice Valentines dinner with three small-ish kids (10 & 8.5y). GF options were clearly marked and there were enough options for my gluten very sensitive son to be happy. Since it was a holiday menu there we couldn’t ask for any accommodations but we didn’t have to. A little expensive for kids but it was a treat. My son didn’t have any tummy problems afterwards. We’d go back.
We ate at Lulu two times while we were in Palm Springs. The GF options on the menu are well-marked, the staff is knowledgeable, and the food is great. They have a nice Gf pizza, and their prix fixe menu has plenty of great GF options. The mushroom soup and flourless chocolate cake were standouts!
Knowledgeable staff and chefs. Checked all the boxes when I asked my gluten free questions. They mark that you are celiac/gluten allergy and prepare your food in/on dedicated gf equipment. Had the pork chop and it was tasty too! Love when I can get a good gluten free meal!
Great location. Food was very good. Get the gluten free baguette! Delicious. Many gluten free items marked on the menu. I also tried the mushroom soup and the pork chop is delicious and perfectly cooked. I got the three course meal for 20$
They have a gluten free menu, including a gf baguette which was a nice surprise. The pear salad was very good and I had no symptoms. Only complaint is no butter was brought with the baguette and it took asking 2 people and 10 minutes to get some.
i’m celiac and super sensitive to cross contamination, i had a caesar salad with grilled chicken on it and felt sick after eating it. i have also tried the minestrone soup, which states it’s gluten free, and i felt sick immediately after. the staff didn’t seem very knowledgeable about cross contamination either. i was disappointed by this place.
truly a terrible meal. I ordered the pasta Primavera but it fell far short of even modest expectations. The whole dish was undercooked and was super garlicky. I have finally learned to avoid these huge factory like restaurants, they don't have the time or commitment to feed a celiac.
Outstanding food and decent prices. We had lunch there. Probably 50+ tables, good cocktails, and about that food.... Kobe Burgers, one of best Cobb Salads ever, Separate GF menu. Food came promptly. No after affects. Would definitely come back.
They have a gluten free menu, but after I ordered from it, the waitress asked if I wanted a side of rice. What we got ended up being rice pilaf. The waitress said there was no pasta in it and that it had just corn and pine nuts, but it sure looked like orzo. I just ate a couple bites but do not feel good.
Plenty of GF options, but celiacs need to be careful. The GF menu is huge, but upon asking the server, I was not assured that a celiac could eat 90% of the items on the GF menu. The server was most unhelpful and not knowledgeable about their GF practices. I had a Cobb salad to be safe and had no problems.
Great service. Great mushroom soup and chicken skewers. Terrible entrees. My husband and I agreed that mine tasted like a TV dinner. And now I am sick and have to retaste the TV dinner. Cross contamination likely as I am sick but not extremely sick. NOT Celiac friendly.
ahhh!! so good! restaurant is now definitely celiac safe (it appears it wasn't always). this was my third time eating here (each time for a celebration of some sort). we booked a table here for my mom's 60th birthday. we both have celiac disease. these guys made a whole gf flourless chocolate cake for my mom with her name and happy birthday on it and berries to decorate. they were so pleasant to work with to plan the surprise. when we were ordering dinner, our kind server didn't know enough about celiac disease to place our order (dont worry-the kitchen does) and sent a manager over right away to reassure us and take our order. he told us the pizza is totally safe (we all know that's not always true everywhere!) and their gf pasta is prepared in separate water. we had the potato leek soup and the vegetable pizza. felt great after eating and still do. the manager and server checked in with us at least 5 times to make sure we were feeling good and doing ok! absolute highest recommendation!!!
