I’ve eaten here multiple times and been safe! I get either their gluten-free burrito or nachos. Make sure to specify it’s a gluten allergy so they take appropriate precautions (Palo Alto location is more confident/knowledgeable for this, but I haven’t gotten sick at this location either). Also, double check the chips are gluten-free, as later in the day if they have to make an extra batch, they would be cross-contaminated. The initial batches are fried first thing each day in a cleaned fryer with fresh oil, but gluten is fried in there after that is done. Other than that, majority of their menu is gluten-free at this point — way more than a couple years ago!

GF menu items clearly marked, and many GF options beyond simple tacos on corn tortillas. Great food and service! My celiac partner was fine, and we both really enjoyed it.

They have GF tortillas! They made a note about my “allergy” and claimed they would change gloves and warm the tortilla in a separate area. I didn’t get sick!

Cashiers have no idea what gluten free/celiac even is. I had to talk to the manager because of a scare where the workers thought they gave me gluten contained chips. The manager told me they fry all food in the same fryer including flour. I do not recommend!
No
Manager told us they do not change gloves and food is all prepared in the same work surface. Cross contamination to the max!!!
Good about gluten free but food did not taste good
Excellent GF choices, much wider and better quality that most. Not just one but TWO mole sauce choices...wohoo! They were aware of GF and had a good protocol they followed, but watch when they ask for choices on beans and rice, not all are GF and the order taker we worked with forgot that part.
Overall: great quality, great choices, great flavors. Will be back.

I like the GG menu, has many options and best of all, no sickness!
Good food. Easy to maneuver menu for gf. Keep coming back and always good. Great drinks too.
Very knowledgeable about cross contamination. Have never gotten sick here, and food is fresh and yummy.
Great tasting food, many items on the clear GF menu. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious and there were to a of gluten free options!!!!
This is an upscale taqueria with some outdoor seating. I had a veggie sope with grilled veggies and a fish taco. Both were quite good and fresh. My order-takers was friendly and helpful. The grilled potatoes were underdone, which is my only complaint. They have a gluten free menu guide at the registers. I didn't ask about cross-contamination because I'm not super sensitive.
Very good gf burrito, and they seemed to take extra care (it took longer for my order than others which I usually find to be a good sign!) I told them it was an allergy and they noted it on the ticket.

I’ve eaten here many times and been safe! I get either their gluten-free burrito or nachos. Make sure to specify it’s a gluten allergy so they mark it on your order and take appropriate precautions. For burrito, they’ll change gloves, grill tortilla on a separate grill, and are willing to cut it in half if you want (just ask them to clean the knife first). Also, double check the chips are gluten-free each time, as later in the day if they have to make an extra batch, they would be cross-contaminated. This Lulu’s location is my default for Mexican food. I’ve never had an issue and have a few favorites that I get on an almost weekly basis. While they aren’t dedicated GF most of their menu is available to eat safely.

A GF burrito is a relative rarity. Lulu’s is pretty solid. Plenty of outdoor seating.
