We ate here after speaking to the manager about food prep. Avoid the fryer if you are celiac. There is a separate fry well for foods without gluten but it is right next to the other well so they do not recommend fried food if you have a severe allergy. Kiddo is sensitive celiac so we avoided the fryer. The waitress said the potato cake side has flour so also avoided that. All grilled fish prepared on own grill, manager said if you want it prepared in separate pan just ask a manager. Kiddo had grilled halibut, rice, black beans and roast carrots. No reactions.

Only getting four stars as they had two items marked as gluten free that weren’t. People forget that most sauces have gluten! Unfortunately I found out the hard way and got horribly sick.

They are open during the pandemic for take out. Ordering and pick up was very easy. Grassy park outside which was great for a picnic. All parking on the street is free at this time. Fantastic gluten free fish tacos and coleslaw. .It is nice to get outside and still keep your social distance.

Some of the best food I have ever eaten! They are extremely knowledgeable and cautious with all food allergies! Most of the menu is gluten free and marked accordingly. They even have a separate fryer so I was even able to eat the sweet potato fries, and they were delicious! We were in Ventura 3 days and ate here for lunch and dinner every day! Excellent food and Celiac friendly!

Pretentious, horribly loud and rude staff - stay away.
Great fresh fish. Gluten free menu. Everything is clearly marked. Only issue is that they use a little too much oil on the food. Great service.
Lovely fresh fish and veggies. Great atmosphere
WOW! Great menu. Delish! Great service. So many choices!! Dedicated fryer!!! The ahi tuna ceviche is so good and huge. Definitely big enough for a meal. Love this place. Felt very safe eating here. They were on it.

Great food and GF selection. Staff knows the ingredients and there are a ton of great options. Celiac and didn't get sick. Had the lobster for dinner and came back for lunch the next day.
They have great gluten free menu. They make everything from scratch so they know what is in their dishes. I has grilled sea bass that was very good along with sides of quinoa salad & grilled asparagus. They have a bunch of sides to choose from. They offer a flourless chocolate cake, but I was too full to try it!
Lots of different options. Waitress was super helpful with recommendations. They use GF soy sauce. Sadly I miss the amazing bread they have here.

Gluten free items are marked on the main menu for the most part, except for sides. The waiter was able to tell us which sides are gluten free, which can be adjusted to be gf, and alerted us that the fryer is shared and not gf without us asking. We were planning to share two entrees and ordered one that was marked gf on the menu and one that had to be adjusted, and the waiter marked a gluten allergy on the order. However, the second dish came out clearly without being adjusted as it had breadcrumbs on one of the sides (was brought out by a different server). Our waiter walked by a minute later and noticed, and offered to have the kitchen remake it but we just decided not to split (my partner is not gf). So overall my experience with the waitstaff was very positive, but with the kitchen I am concerned that they didn’t attend to the allergy marking. Since my dish was inherently gf I felt comfortable eating it and now feel fine the next day. So my recommendation would be to order something that is inherently gf rather than asking for adjustments, just to be safe.

The waitress asked about allergies before we ordered. Not a GF kitchen, so cc is a risk, but I didn't order anything from shared friers, and no negative side effects.

Lots of GF options marked on the menu! Our waitress was very helpful and confirmed with the chef what items would not have cross contamination. I had the hanger steak with sautéed spinach and cilantro lime rice. Very good food and nice patio!

The waitress was accommodating to celiac but did not actually seem to fully understand what that entailed. There were numerous items marked gluten free but I asked her if they are fried with the gluten items and she said yes but then insisted it was fine. The food was good but needed to prompt her more to ensure my food would be safe.
