They were absolutely clueless when we asked about gluten free pasta. This in spite of the big signs out front advertising it. They didn't have anything gluten free.

Staff is friendly, great food, I have eaten here on multiple occasions and not once have I had issues. I will say that the wait is long and based off of other reviews I wouldn't go here if you have celiac. So thats the 4 stars.

They keep all gluten free items in a separate location and make it fresh when ordered to prevent cross contamination. I ordered Mac and cheese and they did use the same area and cheeses as they use for the regular mac. Not sure about gf melts having any issues just because they have two presses and I only saw one in use. The wait for gf was a little long so they offered free fountain drinks to me.

Only have one star because zero stars isn't an option. Cross contamination is a problem due to no separate GF prep space/ utensils. If you are Celiac don't risk it-you will get glutened!

They offer gluten free pasta and gluten free bread. I ordered the southwest gluten free Mac pasta it included pasta, chorizo, and chipotle peppers. Had a nice spice to it and flavor. My concern would be the bread I noticed sandwich presses being used for the regular sandwiches so anyone with celiac would want to be cautious. The macs are made in foil bakeware and put through a pizza oven, however, the young staff did not appear trained in cross contamination. I have celiac and was contaminated (had a moderate reaction). The staff we using the same prep area and utensils versus all items and did not appear to know if additional ingredients besides pasta were gluten free.

Macs N Melts is Toledo's best kept gluten free secret. I can't imagine why they don't advertise or put it on the menu, but they have GF bread for grilled cheeses and pasta for the Mac and cheese. And if you are dairy free, they've got Daiya, too. Best part is they don't charge extra for the GF option.

I loved the gluten free Mac and cheese. It’s baked in its own frying pan and comes in various flavors. Ask to omit bread crumb topping.
