A great experience. There are so many GF safe options. I was craving sushi so I stuck with that but it’s so nice to have an authentic California roll! The drinks were good too. Everyone in our party was happy including those who could eat gluten. They have tamari as well for sushi.

Always a favorite place to stop in P-town. It’s open year round. My son loves the kids chicken tenders and fries. This is one of the few restaurants that marks their alcohol drinks as GF. We enjoy all Mac restaurants on the Cape!

Have only been once but it was a great experience! They have dedicated fryers so they have all sorts of fried seafood. The crispy fish tacos were incredible, and I also had some chicken wings and fries that were very good and safe. The menu is marked and nearly everything seems to be gluten free. My non-celiac friend was also extremely happy with his food. Definitely hoping to go back the next time I’m in town.

I'm so sad to have to change my review... I used to love this place and it was a solid and reliable option... However, the chowder is no longer gluten free. I informed the manager that I had been sick after eating there and then tested it with my Nima. At first, the manager was very receptive and apologetic and noted that they recently started out sourcing the chowder, and said he would look into it. The next time I was there, he informed me that he looked into it, and they wouldn't be making any changes because although it has traces of gluten, they can still legally market it as gluten free. To say I was disappointed and frankly appalled is an understatement. I can say the fried foods still tested negative and I'm grateful for that, but I was so upset at the lack of care that they demonstrated for my health and the health of their other gluten free customers. They aren't planning to make any changes or even put a warning on the menu about the chowder. So please be aware of this if you choose to eat here. Very disappointing.

I was so excited to find a place where the fried seafood is made with GF breading! And it was SOOO good. I got the fried scallop meal. Not only was I thrilled it was GF, but the seafood is so fresh here. We will definitely come back when we come to the Cape.

OMG!!!! This place is celiac heaven on earth. All the fried food is gf and everything else gf is clearly marked on the menu. I seriously cried when I found that out. As a recently diagnosed celiac, I thought my days of fresh fried clams were over but thanks to Mac’s I can safely enjoy my favorite summer meals again. The waitress said Mac has celiac so he wanted to create a space for gf folks to feel safe and enjoy good eats. I went to the Wellfleet location. Delicious food and kind, informed servers. GF fish and chips, gf fried clams, gf clam chowder and more. Mac’s is a celiac’s dream for traditional cape cod fried fish and seafood. Plus their sushi is amazing and gf soy sauce available. Their entire fried food menu is gluten free and staff is helpful and knowledgeable about gf options and precautions. I’ve never gotten sick from the food and eat here almost every night when on vacation in the area!

I think I only once have had a better GF experience! It is rare to feel safe in a restaurant, like this restaurant has me covered. Nearly all menu items are GF, there is a separate prep area for GF, they have GF breads. It was a true joy and I cannot recommend this restaurant higher. It’s affordable for the quality, we loved our dinner. Very friendly service and it’s a very attractive interior. The menu is large and I can only speak for what we had. But GF clam chowder! It’s really good, not super thick, smooth and lovely!

Delicious! Very safe and they have an enormous gluten free menu. All the fried foods are GF, so no worries about fryer cross contamination AND incredible fried seafood. The sushi was amazing too. Also worth noting that they have several other locations on the Cape that also follow the same cross contamination procedures and have mostly the same menus. I ate at 3 locations throughout the week with no problems at all.

Ate here with friends last minute on New Year’s Eve. Their fried foods are all gluten free, almost everything on the menu is gluten free and I was able to have fish and chips for the first time in almost 20 years. Absolutely fantastic. Clam chowder is creamy and full of clams. Lobster roll on warm GF bun is like a dream. The lobster mashed potatoes are full of lobster. Very nice atmosphere here as well.

Mac’s is amazing for celiac. I’ve been going here for my entire life but ever since being diagnosed with celiac, I can still go there. In the past year, they have made adjustments so the ENTIRE fryer is gluten free. Every single fried thing is safe (seafood, fries, etc). The menu marks which things are gluten free and then just make sure to tell your server that it’s an allergy and they will prevent cross contamination. The waitstaff is very knowledgeable and nice!! Never gotten sick here and I go about 5 times during my trip!!! Highly recommend :)

Amazing food! A large gf menu to choose from. There's a * next to everything gf. They have a dedicated fryer. Great service! I've been here before a couple years ago and came back. Still amazing! Happy hour $1 raw oysters and raw clams 2pm-5pm. I love the oysters, soooo fresh! We are very sensitive and have not gotten sick here.

Gluten free lobster rolls and fried seafood!!!! We ate here three nights in a row while on vacation. Gf lobster roll, fried calamari, cod wrapped in prosciutto, lobster mashed potatoes, shrimp n grits - all good. Get takeout, covid safe, all yummy!!

All of their fried food is gluten free! When I called to order takeout, the person who answered the phone said she'd add celiac to our ticket just to be sure. She also reassured me that they don't add any gluten to the fryer (without my asking her about it).

All fried foods are gluten free. We had the gf fish n chips. This Thursday night , it was all you could eat. Our waitress offered us more right as we were finishing our first pieces. Oh my, the best ever. So crispy and didn’t fall apart!! Waitress was great!

(I have a gluten allergy, not celiac). This place was delicious and safe! All fried items are GF no matter what and all GF options are clearly marked on the menu. There were only a few items not GF, mostly sauces on some of the sushi options. I had clam chowder, fried calamari, fried clams, truffle French fries, tartar sauce, and coleslaw. All fried items were crunchy, well seasoned, and the coleslaw was crisp and not soggy or dripping all over the plate. The food and drinks were delicious, our waitress was very knowledgeable about GF, and I can’t wait to come back.

Had gf fish and chips, really good! The kids had gf chicken tenders and fries, had sushi and oysters as well....nice place!

Great food, always fresh and have never gotten sick (I'm celiac). Got house salad with lobster salad, clam chowder, and bucket of fries. I prefer the Chatham location because of the ceviche. But appreciate each location is a little different. So I always got to both anytime we are on the cape!
