Review of Madison Chocolate Company

Two words DELICIOUS & FRESH! Order early because the pastries go fast. This morning I tired the GF Blueberry Cardamom scone, GF S’more cookie & the Pain Au Chocolat GF Buttery Chocolate Croissants. All three exceeded my expectations. The scone had a touch of cardamom with the right amount of blueberries and the texture was exactly how a scone should be. The cookie was good and the chocolate croissant was out of this world good! The pastry was flaky and buttery, the filling was not just a squirt of chocolate in the middle, this chocolate croissant was filled on two areas in the croissant. So glad I got 3 of them. I have been wanting croissants since I became gluten intolerant and the texture, flakiness and butteriness of the pastry was exquisite. My husband who isn’t gluten intolerant said this was better than the gluten ones. I cannot wait to get more and also try the hand pies and Persian Love Cake which are only available on the weekends. I guess I need to plan a weekend trip. 2nd trip here and the Alfajor was heavenly, the shortbread melts in your mouth, the Carmel has the perfect sweetness with a hint of the ghost pepper. So mad at myself for only getting one. I know better next time. Can’t wait to try the Persian love cake, turtle brownie, pecan bar and blueberry hand pies I bought today. I know it’s worth the drive and $$$. Only disappointment is that they didn’t ask for my rewards number and didn’t offer to add them manually so I lost out on chocolate points.

This morning my family and I had the Waffle with Spiced Poached Pear, Roasted Pecans, and Sea Salt Caramel and the quiche. Everything was delicious, best GF waffle I’ve had.
