Fantastic. The server was very knowledgeable about gluten free, but when I mentioned I was also dairy free he brought the chef out to talk to me. The chef ran through all my options with me and ultimately was able to make a delicious chicken piccata. I would definitely go back!
The food was pretty good, service was very good, but I wasn’t very confident in my order being completely gluten free. I ordered my steak without the butter sauce and it came with it, so I was worried about gluten, but it turned out fine!
The steak was free because of the mistake.
Was in town for a conference and so glad I ate here! Not only was it delicious, there were SO many options and our server right off the bat asked if anyone had a food allergy. He then explained what I could eat or modifications that could be made, and upon ordered my salad (the chopped starter salad - which was DELICIOUS!) and our server suggested I leave off the crispy pancetta because even though it itself is GF, it was apparently cooked in a fryer shared with the calamari so he suggested I omit it from my salad which was so appreciated! Portions were huge, food was delicious, and atmosphere was neat. Definitely book a reservation ahead of time if you can - we had one and by the looks of the line it saved us a lot of time. Definitely would return here!
I’ve been here twice now. The food is great.. but the last time, when I was almost done eating, I found a piece of fettuccini in my dish. I asked if they have any pasta other than penne that is gluten free (since most places don’t) and the waitress confirmed they do not. I pointed out the piece of fettuccini and said “so this is not gluten free?” and she said no it’s not and apologized several times. I told her I’m not celiac so cross contamination won’t hurt me but it’d be much different if it happened to someone who was. She offered to remake the dish but I declined since I was practically done anyway but asked that she please address it with the staff. The manager came out seconds later and apologized repeatedly. He said he was extremely embarrassed and he had already ripped the cooks a new one. He said they pride themselves on accommodating food allergies so he was very angry that it happened. He removed the dish from the bill, comped two desserts my friend and I ordered, as well as an extra side my friend had. His response left me confident it’s not a common occurrence and it was/would be appropriately handled. I would be hesitant to go back if I were celiac, but since I’m only gluten sensitive, I will return. I wanted to share my experience though for those with celiac since this could be a major issue for them.
Best GF pasta I’ve ever had. Waiter was knowledgeable about GF options. There were so many choices! I don’t have celiac, but it seemed to be celiac friendly. I would highly recommend if you are GF by choice. If you have celiac, perhaps call ahead to confirm.
The best service I've ever had. Server was knowledgeable about GF, checked with chef on anything he didn't know, was vigilant with food brought to the table by the runner. AND GF dessert. It was lunch, but I couldn't resist having some creme brûlée. It was very good (not great, but very good).
When we said we were celiac, the chef came out himself to review the menu with us and make sure he could accommodate our needs. He helped is pick an appetizer - baked calamari instead of fried. They substitute gf penne for the pasta options. My daughter had the meat sauce and I had Shrimp Fra diavola both of which were delicious! All sauces are made in house and gluten free. We will definitely come back.
Service was great! But not to many choices for gluten free! Food was ok..
We ate here twice while in Philly for the marathon. Both times it was fabulous and the servers very friendly. They accommodated our gluten free and dairy free request with a smile.
I've been to this location 5 times now in my two stops to Philly...always a great staff and the food is always good. These people know their stuff and actually understand what it means to be gluten-free! I have no concerns for my safety in eating here. I return every year and each time I'm never let down.
My friend and I sat and ate at the bar. I told them that I couldn't eat gluten, and they were super helpful. They double checked things with the chef, and my salad, pasta, and creme brule were delicious.
Delicious. Waiter was helpful. Great pasta choices...had baked ziti . Salads were great. Will be going again. If u order light or typical (ie spaghetti or NOT seafood) you can get out of there with a drink (not alcohol) for under 20.00 per person... Prices range from 12.00 to 22.00 with some in lower 40.00 (lobster and steaks)
Went to Maggiano's, informed the hostess of our daughter's needs, she indicated it would be no problem. Our server, Krista was fantastic and immediately ask who was GF. Spoke directly to my daughter and ask if she would like the chef to come out to speak to her. He did and was extremely pleasant. He addressed my daughter's questions. Food was incredible, ambiance fantastic, service was phenomenal. I would highly recommend.
One type of pasta, good marinara sauce. Good. No salad. Have been to others in this chain that give a free gluten brownie. Not even on the menu. gypsy
The waitress couldn’t have been nicer! She asked if there was any allergies at the start of our meal. She told me about the gf pasta and offered that if I wanted anything else, she would get the chef to come and speak with me. As a symptomatic celiac, this made me feel very comfortable. The food was also delicious. Lots of options. Go with an empty tummy!
This is the second Maggiano’s I have eaten at in the last 2 months and while my experience was great in Philadelphia, it was even better in Bridgewater. On a busy Saturday night, the lead chef came out to speak with me and told me he would personally be preparing my food. He asked for my order ahead of time so that when it was placed with the waiter, he would already know what I needed. GF pasta is cooked in separate space and all the meat dishes can be made with no breading on a separate grill. The sauces and salad dressings are gluten free as well - the only area that’s lacking is their appetizers as none can be made gluten free, but I just got a bigger salad. Our food took a bit of time to come out because that particular chef was preparing it, but I absolutely didn’t mind at all and it was delicious. All of the wait staff we encountered knew the protocol and they announced the “allergy” meal when they came out. It feels awesome to be able to eat out at a place I would frequent before my diagnosis and we will definitely be back soon!
Waitress assured me they are a scratch kitchen and most dishes could be made gf I had chicken Parmesan. It was pretty good except that the chicken had an artificial grill flavor. It was good but not great just wish they’d have gf bread!! It was good and I’ll eat here again just order something different
We hadn’t been to Maggiano’s in a while and I’m not sure why? Had a really nice dinner there this past weekend. Told the server I had celiac disease and he immediately went got the chef to come out for a consult. Chef was gonna make sure he walked my items through and oversaw that there wasn’t any cross contamination for me. Had a Caesar salad no croutons and the filet medallions with mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce. Both were excellent. Had no reaction afterwards. Will definitely be back soon!
