Scratch kitchen and they have GF pasta. Most things can be tweaked to be made gluten free. We have the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, chicken Francces and Lemon Herb Salmon. All were delicious! For dessert we shared the 5 mini dessert platter (the only GF option was crème brûlée. They were bigger than I thought they were going to be and delicious ).
I've never had an issue with Maggiano's. All of their sauces are gluten free which means that the majority of their pastas can be made gluten free. You are not able to have lasagna, ravioli or stuffed manicotti. When you are placing an order, your server marks down that you have a gluten allergy. While, I don't know what their kitchen looks like, a chef or a manager has always come to verify why you need gluten free and tells you what modifications will be made. Or at least this is my experience.
Typically the only desserts that are gluten free are the Creme Brulee and Sorbets. However, sometimes during the monthly specials (which also might be gluten free or easily modified to be gluten free), there is a gluten free dessert.
I’ve eaten here 2 times. The first time I ordered pasta and had no problems with it and it was delicious. The second time I ate there, I ordered the same meal and noticed the noodles were a different type than the last time. When I asked about it, I found out that they had given me non gluten free noodles. Luckily I hadn’t eaten any yet. They fixed the mistake and brought out the correct meal, which I had no problem. Staff needs to be more attentive. I won’t go back.
All their sauces and drawings are GF, so almost everything in the menu can be prepared gluten free. Staff was knowledgeable. Manager came out and confirmed my order and said he would take care if it. When food was served, they mentioned that it was prepared GF. Food was very good and I felt very confident eating
Visiting area and I had never been to one before. Waiter told me anything on menu can be made gf! I had chicken Parmigiana. It was grilled chicken with the sauce and cheese. It was excellent. I was also given a side of gf pasta. It came out hard. They made me a new one. It was cooked more but still quite ale dente so I didn’t really eat very much. The waiter offered me a free crepe brûlée for being so patient. (I didn’t mention the pasta second time). The Creme Brûlée was wonderful! I would come again but probably ask to substitute vegetables or a potato for the pasta.
*updated* I initially had fabulous experiences here, but after eating successfully 3-4 times, I got very sick 2 times in a row. The first time I was accidentally served regular pasta and I thought it tasted too good to be gluten free but I ate it and became incredibly sick. The second time I believe it was cross contamination. Both times I called the restaurant. After the first incident, the management was incredibly apologetic. After the second, they blamed me as being too sensitive to eat out because they can't control if a waiter touches bread and then touches my water glass. I thought that was a bit far fetched and insulting. Unfortunately, I no longer feel comfortable eating here.
Food was good but my wife (celiac) got sick after eating here.
amazing food and the entire chief special list is gluten free! It was very exciting and the food was delicious!
Plenty of gf options and all delicious. The chef or manager always comes over to discuss your dietary needs and makes sure you are safe.
Very helpful. All sauces and salad dressings are GF. Tasty GF pasta.
The manager came to our table to take our Celiac order separate from the rest. They have GF penne pasta that they can make with almost any sauce. They boil s fresh pot of water and have separate cooking utensils. They can cook fish / chicken without breading. They do NOT have GF bread yet. They have GF creme brûlée and vanilla ice cream for dessert.
Chef was so accommodating! Personally came out multiple times to take my order, as well as confirm my gluten free needs. Baked ziti, fettuccini Alfredo, Italian salad, and vanilla ice cream have all been excellent gluten free options! Would highly recommend.
Makes a super effort to make gluten free diners feel welcome and stay healthy. Well trained staff and excellent food.
Agree with other Celiac reviewers that the Chef really cares about all allergens. Excellent food and service as well. A special pleasure to dine here.
Outstanding. Chef always personally takes your order. Never a worry. Sauces and pasta are GF and delicious.
Fabulous food and GF menu. One of my favorite restaurants, i know i can trust them to make it truly GF.
Loved it! Had the gluten-free rigatoni with white clam sauce and was delicious, enough for two meals. My other guest had an allergy to tomatoes, and when we ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, it had tomatoes in it. He brought the chef out, who created for her a wonderful, sweet ricotta dip, and was very attentive to our allergies. I’ll be back!
The waitress couldn’t have been nicer! She asked if there was any allergies at the start of our meal. She told me about the gf pasta and offered that if I wanted anything else, she would get the chef to come and speak with me. As a symptomatic celiac, this made me feel very comfortable. The food was also delicious. Lots of options. Go with an empty tummy!
