Several great experiences- chef comes out and talks to you and creates a safe meal. Delicious gf pasta but no gf bread.
This has been our go to place for drinks and appetizers since my celiac diagnosis. Kitchen and staff are very knowledgeable and there are a lot of dining options.

Twice I've had normal noodles in my gf dish even after the chef came out to speak with me. The waiter and manager were very apologetic and gave my date and I free full size desserts and my meal was free. Luckily I noticed the noodles pretty early on so I was able to get them to make a new one without getting sick.
I've been to this location three times. The chef always comes out and is very helpful with celiac and allergies. I wish they had gf bread but the food is good and I haven't gotten sick.

I have to say that this is probably one of the best dining experiences I have had since being diagnosed with Celiac two years ago. My waiter(Abraham) was great and told me that the kitchen was prepared and knowledgeable in preparing gluten free food and had a dedicated workspace. He told me the chef would be right out to discuss my order. Eric the chef and I spoke about what I would be ordering and how it would be prepared. I ordered the Taylor Street Pasta with sausage and it was fantastic. Later on Abraham treated my table with creme brûlée (also gluten free ) for dessert. The manager, Charles was also wonderful and very attentive. Great experience. Will go back.
While they don't have a gf menu, the chef came out to discuss what I would like. They have gf penne pasta but I'm also counting calories so I substituted spinach. Very good!

Not only the best Italian food I've eaten, the service was incredible, and the staff took exceptional care to provide safe food. The chef spoke directly to me to ensure that my meal was GF. I am so impressed with them! We will visit every time we are in Cinci!
Dont tell me the menu is completely gluten free! Calamari Fritte? Nope. Eggplant Parm? Nope. Ok lets move onto all of the gluten free pasta- Ravioli? Nope. Fettuccini? Nope. Braised beef papardelli? Nope...hmmm GF bread for the table? Nope. Ok ill have the most popular pasta dish? Rigatoni D? Sure!!! Comes out with Penne!!!! Accck!!! waiyer didnt have patience or too much knowledge and hardly spoke to me for the rest of the meal even though i was completely disappointed . Of course i was charged full price for my meal. Will not be going back.
They have always done a wonderful job keeping our food gluten free. The chef always comes out and talked to us about what our options were. Many of the dishes that have some type of noodle can be made gluten free. Haven't ever gotten sick

For a Celiac, the chef coming out and paying attention is a no-brained. Had an issue with take out once because just dealing with that person, who was new, so be super clear, but no issues with in restaurant ever.
The service was completely lackluster. The GM Matt came to our table and raved about how they have a full scratch kitchen and can make anything safe. My friend and I feel confident that this could be a good experience. Fast forward to dinner, my friend orders the Johnny's Carbonara with Gluten free pasta and has them add grilled chicken. It looks good, a few bites in something seems off, but he doesn't think anything of it. He is almost done and noticed there is a piece of fettuccine mixed in with his gluten free penne! Apparently someone in the kitchen wasn't paying attention when they made his meal! We had the manager come over and while they did comp our entire meal, that didn't help the fact that he spent the next several hours between the toilet and the bed. We will never be going back to any Maggiano's again. Not worth the risk!
Another excellent visit. Enjoyed Gluten-Free pasta and sauce served in hearty portion. Chef visits your table prior to ordering to discuss menu options. Great value if you order selected pasta dishes that are two for one (one to enjoy in restaurant and one to take home, or two as take out). The dining room is always packed (be sure to make a reservation) because the food is outstanding. 3-1-2016 review: 5 stars. Great GF Italian food in restaurant or to go. GF pasta and sauces are definitely some of the best I have ever had (they are so good that even non-allergic people will eat them and say they are good). I have eaten here multiple times and have never had a reaction. Highly recommended.
I agreed to eat here because I heard they are cautious. I asked the waitress what she suggested for someone with celiac and she assured me they could alter nearly anything to accommodate me. She even told me the chef would come out to discuss options but he never did. I ordered a simple pasta and substituted with GF. When eating my leftovers, I found about 10 stray (gluten-full) spaghetti noodles and ended up throwing it out. I was hoping they'd be careful in the kitchen like they said, but I won't be going back. Not worth the risk or feeling sick.
When we said we were celiac, the chef came out himself to review the menu with us and make sure he could accommodate our needs. He helped is pick an appetizer - baked calamari instead of fried. They substitute gf penne for the pasta options. My daughter had the meat sauce and I had Shrimp Fra diavola both of which were delicious! All sauces are made in house and gluten free. We will definitely come back.
I never had a problem until this last time when I got very sick from "gluten free" baked ziti.
Maggianos has recently been voted #1 for celiac friendly by AllergyEats!! They sent a chef out to talk to me when I informed them of my dietary restriction. The chef explained how they could modify dishes to make them gluten free. The staff was very knowledgeable and I felt taken care of. The food was delicious and exactly what I needed after a long day of working in an unfamiliar city.
went there a few weeks ago. gluten free penne substitute for most pasta dishes. was very good, replaced linguini with gluten free penne with no issue. I don't believe they have a separate kitchen or actively avoid contamination but it was good for my intolerance.

Incredibly careful with your food. chef came out to talk to me about menu options and then the manager came to take my order on a giant yellow ticket that way they knew for sure it was an allergy ticket. I have a dairy allergy as well as celiac and there were many options. had veal and potatoes. was amazing. I will definitely be returning! !!
Lots of gluten free items including fish and pasta. We have been here a few times. The manager speaks with us and reviews the menu options. Last night I had a great Cesar salad and the salmon.
Delicious food, nice atmosphere but most importantly, excellent service! A chef personally greeted me when I mentioned I was a coeliac. He took care to explain and assure me of their kitchen procedures and how they handled their gluten free dishes. They're incredibly accommodating- I even got gluten-free bread!
Have eaten here many times and have never gotten a Celiac reaction. Most times manager or chef comes to table before I order!
Very accommodating for all of our gluten free needs. The chef came out to talk to us about our options, and the waiter knew what we were talking about. My sister and I both feel great after eating, which was a relief. We will definitely be coming back here again. 😀
I can't say enough great things about this place! Chef came out immediately with a notepad to discuss my options and checked on me a few times after my food came out. It was amazing! And no symptoms the next day! The chefs are amazingly accommodating. Just ask to talk to one.

They made a good effort. The chef came out to recommend gluten free options and understood the importance to those with celiac. I was very impressed. But that soon turned to disappointment when I had eaten a few bites of my main dish and realized that they had put the wrong sauce on it. By then it was already too late. Just not good enough.

No specific gluten free menu, but gluten free penne can be substituted for almost all pasta (not ravioli or lasagne, obviously). All proteins can be grilled instead of breaded and fried. All sauces are gluten free. Creme brûlée is gluten free and delicious. Chef came to table before we ordered to cover how gluten free meals and was comfortable with serving a celiac. Staff is knowledgeable and obviously trained. Great experience.
Delicious food and almost things can be made GF. The chef even came to the table to make sure I was happy with the precautions they were taking against cross contamination. I would recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat!
Our server sent the chef out to talk to me about the menu (babyshower). He informed me of my options, which I was very pleased with. The chicken marsala was amazing and be brought me a complimentary baked ziti! AMAZING!
I had one safe and delicious meal and then I had one bad experience where I had multiple pieces of regular noodles in my "gluten free" pasta. . . like small chunks of spaghetti and they only have gluten free penne. no thanks.
Amazing experience and delicious dinner! They take Celiac disease and allergies (table next to us had a nut allergy) so seriously that the manager or chef takes your order. The manager took my order and demonstrated a real understanding of Celiac. You can ask for anything off the menu and he can immediately tell you if it can be modified for gluten free, and whether it will still taste good doing so! They have a scratch kitchen, so they make everything from scratch anyway, so they are happy to modify any dish. I opted for the gnocchi and Italian sausage dish with Vodka sauce, substituting gluten free pasta for the gnocchi. It was delicious! Being newly diagnosed with Celiac, this experience took the fear out of dining out and made me feel like I can still enjoy some of the foods I love. I will definitely be going back!!!
