I called ahead and spoke with an assistant manager. She informed me that GF penne pasta can be substituted for any of the pastas on the menu (ravioli & lasagna being the exceptions). All sauces & dressings are GF. Meats other than the cod can be prepared safely by asking for them to be grilled or pan seared. She advised asking for a manager. When I got there, the server echoed everything I had been told on the phone. The only difference was that she did not think it was necessary to get a manager involved. I didn’t push it since she did have a good knowledge of protocols. My pasta dish came out on the same tray as the rest of the meals, but the server did state that mine was GF without me asking. 36 hours later and no reaction. I would feel comfortable eating there again, and it was delicious. Nice to have the option of almost everything on the menu instead of limited choices.

1st meal pasta was so undercooked that it couldn't be eaten. Manager looked at it and comment was "oh my gosh". Then received mashed potatoes with my meal which were great. Had ordered a 2nd meal to take home. Asked if that pasta was ok and was told corrected. Got home & that pasta was the same. I started to pick out all the pasta to use the sauce & chicken with my own pasta when I found a fettuccine noodle. Pitched the entire meal. Restaurant did refund, but if I had eaten, that noodle would have made me very sick. Also discontinued gf bread. For the price & cross contamination, not worth it. Other restaurants are better.

We ordered over the phone and the host was extremely helpful! She helped my husband pick from their many GF options and ensured their allergy preparations are on point. We ordered the Ziti, chicken Marsala and Italian salad. Al the sauces are GF, except one, most of the pasta can be done GF

Loved how at the first conversation with the server, she told us the specials and asked to let her know if we had any dietary restrictions! Sever let the manager know about my gluten free need and then the manager came to the table to verify and went to speak with the chef. All sauces are gluten free!!

Was so disappointed they discontinued their gf bread rolls about 3 months ago, corporate said it wasn't cost effective, well, it was the reason I ate there and many others I know.

Maggianos can make most of their pastas with GF pasta! They also have GF rolls that they bring out to start which is exciting!!

Staff was nice- stated they could make almost any of the pasta dishes gluten free minus the stuffed pastas. They brought us out gluten free bread to start which was awesome! I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and it was good, not great. Had to add seasons. The chicken was pretty bland. They do send you home with another pasta dish on top of the one you ordered at no extra cost which is awesome!

Not only did they have tons of gluten free pasta that the chef talked personally to me about, and not only did it taste amazing, they fresh baked gluten free bread for me. Absolutely amazing, and I love coming here for anniversaries.
Yes
Staff was knowledgeable about celiac & there was a good selection of gluten free dishes. My daughter was able to eat a delicious, safe meal AND they made gluten free bread for her!

UPDATE: They no longer carry gluten free rolls. Said they are lookimg for a new vendor, but it's been about 6 months. Also no GF lunch specials unless you want 2 half salads w/out protein.
Original Review: The first time I ate here was fine. The second time they were out of GF rolls so they asked if they could comp by sending me an additional pasta home. I thought that was great and ordered the veggie penne with GF noodles (obvs). Well they sent me home with WHEAT pasta!!!! I ate 1/4 of the dish before realizing something was wrong. The noodles looked exactly the same as the GF option except orange, and the texture was softer. I became extremely ill that night and the entire next day. My boyfriend ate the rest of the dish and confirmed it was exactly the same as what he has eaten at the restaurant (ie wheat noodles). I'm not sure if I want to eat here again. GF control is pretty good for dining in, but I'll never do take out again.
The gluten free rolls are awful, imo and not worth the calories. They could buy any brand of rolls literally anywhere and they would taste better. Not sure why they haven't caught on yet... they also take FOREVER to come out even though they supposedly start them as soon as you sit down.
Great food, gluten-free penne pasta, creme brûlée and they even have gluten-free bread!!! I’m not sure how much they control cross contamination, but they really try.

Wonderful experience and delicious food. The gluten free bread basket was a yummy treat (we got a refill, too!) and it was so nice to have many options to choose from. Our waitress had the manager come over and talk to us about the different options and the food was prepared separately. Everything was so good! We’re excited to return.

Knowledgeable staff. Wide variety of options. Staff double checked on allergies and on the quality once food was served.
Most amazing food and service I’ve ever had! They were so accommodating and wonderful! 100% recommend this place!

Knowledgeable staff, super aware and accommodating of a Celiac’s GF needs. The Chef personally took our GF diner’s order table-side. We’ll certainly dine here again.

Well, first time writing review...but had to after eating here. My husband and I both have gluten issues(Celiac and Intolerance) ....staff was incredibly knowledgeable and they have “from scratch” kitchen, most everything on the menu can be made gluten free....GF rolls were incredible ....can’t recommend high enough!

We’ve been frequent visitors of Maggianos for a few years now. My mom and I both have gluten and dairy allergies. Usually this is a tall order, but since the restaurant makes from scratch food in the back and the chefs are extremely knowledgeable and accommodating it’s such an amazing experience. They offer gluten and dairy free pasta and biscuits! The chef always comes out to talk with us about what we want and how he can accommodate those meals to our allergies. This gives us so many choices and it’s affordable to boot! We are there yesterday and I’m sure we’ll be back soon! I can’t say enough good things about eating at Maggianos!

The food is always delicious! When I let them know I need to eat gluten free, they send out the chef to personally take my order and answer any questions. Yummy gluten free rolls every time. Service is always outstanding, and I never feel like a bother for having food limitations.

Great experience here! My husband and I went for our anniversary and they were very helpful. The assistant manager came up to our table to talk to us about gluten free options and our server was great as well! I had the rigatoni D, and my husband had the beef medallions. As a bonus they also had gluten free rolls. I had no issues eating here and will definitely be back!

They used to have INCREDIBLE gluten free bread, but when I was there last month, the rolls were different; they were dry and fell apart when trying to eat them. It was still a nice experience, but I was disappointed that they down-graded their bread.

Chef came out and talked to us about GF options. Staff brought out hot, and really good, GF rolls. Great lunch!

My absolute favorite in the area. Only place I know of that offers gluten free rolls! They're from a local gf bakery and are INCREDIBLY delicious! I'd go there just based on the premise that they offer gluten free rolls like they do regular ones, and at no extra charge! I've only ever had one issue there, and it was for a take out order where they accidentally didn't mark my order as GF but luckily I was familiar enough with the dish because I get the same one all the time (rigatoni D), that I could tell it wasn't the right pasta. So I called them and they had someone deliver the right order to me! So nice. And the creme brûlée is amazing as well.
Worth the trip for the gluten free rolls!

I would love to give them 5 stars, but I've gotten sick after eating here more than once. There are good options, and the staff seems knowledgeable, but I'm not so sure about their cross-contamination carefulness. There have been times I've been fine and times I haven't, but I think it's time for me to give up on them.
No
Absolutely fabulous!! All sauces are gluten free. So many choices I had a hard time deciding!! Gluten free rolls that were so soft I couldn't believe they were GF!! Staff is very knowledgable and helpful. I will definitely be returning, on a regular basis.

My office bought lunch for us today and I was excited to be able to partake this time, albeit worried about becoming ill at work. The food was amazing!!! The gentleman taking the order was wonderful. The portion size is huge and to be able to eat (bread) rolls from a restaurant was so exciting. I did not become ill and will be eating there again and again and again.

Tasty. Good GF pasta. Haven't had a bad meal or gotten ill, and we've been here a lot. Most times the chef will come speak to you (if I'm just getting a classic pasta I tell them not to worry about it). They've modified many a menu item for me, even beyond their usual modification just because I have a craving. Oh, and the GF rolls are Andreas herb dinner rolls. I have to slap my non-GF husband's hand to stay away from them.
In the past I have loved Maggiano's. I'd seen on other reviews that the manager or chef comes out personally to speak with you. Granted, it was Friday night, but that did not happen. I told our waiter and he said ok. He proceeded to bring bread to the table and said nothing. I had to ask if it was regular or GF. Waiter said nothing about the menu just asked what we'd decided to order-we hadn't even ordered drinks yet. So finally I asked for some GF bread. They burned it once and the second time it came out frozen. Third try it came out after my meal. Dinner was good, a bit salty, but that's tolerable. I guess I was just a little disappointed. We'll go back, but I hope we don't have the same experience. Waiter was nice enough, just a little rushed I guess.

Son was extremely happy with his gluten free pasta but the gluten free herb rolls were "of Godly creation".
they are great to deal with. the chef comes out and discusses the menu and they have rolls. grandson was very happy.
They have the best gluten free menu!!! They even bring out hot gf rolls! The manager even comes out to confirm your order for you. Never had a problem there & I love the staff!
wow is all I can say. chef came out to the table. prepare anything I wanted awesome gluten free rolls best gluten free meal I've ever had

Wonderful restaurant! Staff is fully aware of celiac disease and the chef comes to your table to discuss you meal that they will personally prepare.
Good food, just make sure you speak with the chef to ensure gluten free. They even serve gluten free rolls which are delicious.
I have had good experiences at Maggiano's. I have never been sick afterwards, but sometimes you have to be extra careful with them. One time they brought out a red sauce with meatballs (their meatballs have bread crumbs in it) Another time they brought a salad to my sister that had bleu cheese on it (celiacs can had reactions to some types of bleu cheese). Every time they fixed it with offering to take a meal off of the ticket and offering a complimentary gf dessert. Overall good experiences but be observant.
They have gluten free pasta, rolls, and are extremely helpful.
Great place. The chef will speak with you and they offer gf rolls. Nice touch
They went out of their way in their service and their commitment to provide safe allergy-related foods. They are in process of changing three of their sauces so that they will be GF. Yum!
Beautiful Italian restaurant. My server was very kind and knowledgeable about the Gluten Free options. They don’t have a separate menu or any indications of any dishes being GF on the menu so you rely on your server. She suggested I get the GF Taylor Street Baked Ziti and it was delicious! Definitely coming back here when I get the chance.

This restaurant is amazing and the servers are very professional. I had a work meeting here, and my boss asked for the gluten-free menu( I have Celiac) . They had a separate menu, and they cooked everything separate , with no cross contamination. The manager came and talked to me and read the gluten-free menu.. She was very smart and careful. The food was wonderful, and the cream brulee was so yummy. I didn't get sick at all. 🤩

Even if it’s not nessesarily their nitch, These folks get G-Free & Celiac! And rarely are you going to find such care & consideration at such a classy atmosphere Restaraunt as this!
Dress up or casual… we saw the whole spectrum of customers here. Although, dressing up will really make a special night out here. Wonderful old time dinner music hits from the likes of Sinatra filled the low light pleasant & romantic venue.
Once advised of our issues, our waitress Sheena (who, by the way, is a 5-Star Rock Star of a Server!) had the Chef at our table side in minutes, advising us on their abilities & limitations. Way more selection than one might anticipate, although less than we had seen at their Orlando location last year.
The gluten free Panne as Alfredo w/Chicken breast added was exquisite in appearance and taste….even as a next day leftover!!!
