Review of Mahana Fresh

Mahana Fresh gave us a yummy convenient (just off i75) gluten free experience! The restaurant prides itself on freshness and antibiotic free meats. Everything was gluten free (including the desserts) and there were many vegan options. All entrees were bowl based with a variety of flavored rice, noodles or salad as your base. Throw on a couple flavorful tender crisp veggies, a protein and top with a sauce to create a one of a kind meal or choose a signature bowl with preselected combinations. I chose the Mahana where I chose noodles, honey Sriracha Brussels sprouts and garlicky cilantro green beans, slightly sweet key west chicken and topped it all with a citrus vinaigrette. My favorite ingredient, the Brussels sprouts was sweet with little heat. The green beans as well as the noodles had a quieter flavor but both were good. The plentiful chicken had nice flavor and when paired with the vinaigrette popped with flavor.

My husband chose the Big Kahuna Bowl and was pleased with the generous servings of grilled steak and bbq chicken. I tried the Buffalo cauliflower in his bowl and found it delicious.

I wish I lived in the area to try some of their other flavors! Hopefully I will get back someday!
