The food was amazing. I enjoyed every bite and loved that I didn't have to search the menu for things that I could eat. While it was very a expensive meal for my family of four at $160, it was delicious.

Honestly the only word that comes to mind is ecstasy! This is by far the best restaurant in (dare I say) the state of Louisiana! The entire restaurant is gluten free, and although the menu can be a bit confusing for non Spanish speakers, every single thing my party tried (6 different dishes) was to die for! The atmosphere was traditional Columbia Creole fusion and the service was incredibly friendly. Stuck on the menu, I highly recommend the arepas or the aborrajdos. They even had dessert, the tres leche is amazing! Please please please, go to this restaurant!! You and your taste buds will not regret it!!

This was our 2nd visit to Mais Arepa and it was as delicious as we remembered from our last trip. My daughter loves the empanadas! We were also pleasantly surprised this trip that they had GF Tres Leches and it was so delicious. Their arepas are also amazing!!

If you go to New Orleans and don’t eat at Mais, you have missed the best part of NOLA. Everything on the menu is gluten free and everything is beyond delicious. A little off the beaten path and mostly home to locals and it’s so easy to see why. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is beyond words incredible!

I had the arepa with the mozzarella and marinated chicken... delicious. As a celiac, very rarely am I able to order off the menu without saying “gluten free”, “gluten allergy”, and “cross contamination” a billion times, so going somewhere dedicated gluten free was a treat in its own... but wow. The arepa was delicious. Like... I was about to cry delicious. I would sell my soul for another arepa.

What an incredible meal! Everything from the appetizers to the desserts are gluten free. It’s such a relief not to have to worry about cross contamination. And talk about packed with flavor!!! We had the empanadas for an appetizer, arepas for our entree and tres leches cake for dessert. On top of all that, the margaritas were to die for! This was one of our favorite meals during our five days in NOLA. I highly recommend it!

Amazing food and service! Everything on the menu is g/f (not sure about dessert). My daughter was diagnosed with Celiac 4 months ago and it was so nice to see her be able to order anything on the menu. This restaurant makes us wish we lived here and could go anytime. There was 6 people in our party and we all thought the food was incredible! Highly recommend. 🤩

Hidden GEM! 100% gluten free menu! My husband and I ate here on our last day in NOLA, and it was the perfect way to end our trip. We had yuca frita (fried yuca and chorizo) for an appetizer and we each had an arepa entree. They are huge and very filling! YUM!

The staff was very knowledgeable! Food was excellent. If u can’t tolerate dairy like me, the arepas do have some dairy in them. However they have dairy free options like the empanadas, ceviche, yuca with chorizo, and salad. The empanadas were my favorite.

This was our 2nd visit. The food is amazing and the menu is 100% gluten free — including the desserts! I had the grilled chicken arepa with a side of chimichuri sauce and a little bit of cheese. My dining companion ate the Cerda, which is a pulled pork dish with fried plantains. The fried yucca is also a great appetizer. When I heard both desserts where gluten free, I had to try both. The tres leches dessert is the most delicious dessert I have ever had and the flan with passion fruit sauce is amazing. I recommend reservations, as the restaurant is small and fills up quickly.
