Nima tester for gluten results in positive test result for pizza, chicken fingers and French Fries on several occasions. My son had GI symptoms for a year when we used to eat pizza several times a month. The symptoms disappeared when we stopped eating pizza from Mama’s. Not safe for Celiac.

We have gone to mamas several times bc my son is celiacs and very sensitive. Last week we ordered take out, everything that we ordered GF for my son was marked according. 2 hours later in his sleep he was violently ill. Vomited all over his room and then 2x more. I called the next day and I was not pleased with the response. They said they would investigate what happened, seemed to interrogate me as if it was my fault! Did not apologize, ask if he was ok or offer any compensation. I had to pay for a steam cleaner to clean the carpets. I am not sure they are as safe as they say and I cannot trust to go back.

The entire menu can be made gluten free. We were amazed to see gluten free garlic bread and mozzarella sticks on the menu, not to mention they brought out fresh baked gluten free bread and the “Gluten Free Sample of The Day” which was risotto in a creamy pink champagne sauce. Everything was amazing!

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing gluten free food!!! I have never seen 12 pages of gluten free options EVER! I was diagnosed with Celiac disease 11 years ago and was so beyond appreciative of the staff and owner, Tom's knowledge on cross contamination and gluten free food/dining! They have separate fryers, dedicated space, kind and knowledgeable staff. I had mozzarella sticks that were to DIE for! The fried calamari was amazing too. We even got Zepploes for dessert and the cookie dough cheesecake was out of this world- ALL GLUTEN FREE. It was a safe environment with anyone with Celiac or any other dietary restrictions. We can't wait too go back!!!

FYI- They also have dairy free, vegan and vegetarian options.

Amazing. I've been eating there for 8 years. I moved down the street while I was going to undergrad because it was the only place I can eat. I dream about their gluten free sausage pizza every night. They have an entire book-menu that is gluten free. the same cooks have been working there for years. I am very careful and wont eat ANYWHERE I am not sure about. This place is amazing 😊😊

Are you tired of only having a few options when eating out? I am gluten free, the kids are dairy free. At Mama's they have full menu's for gluten free, dairy free and gluten/dairy free. These menus are several pages long. It's so nice for us to be able to go out as a family and have so many options.

Everything is excellent. We have been bringing our 7 year old daughter here for a couple years and always accommodating safe and she is able to get basically anything she wants even the free starter and bread are GF and she is able to eat like she has no restrictions! They recently expanded the kids menu to include almost every choice with a GF alternate. All of that said it would still be a great restaurant of choice even if we did not have restrictions.

What are you & where have you been all of my Hashi's Diseased life? My husband & I would clone Tom & staff for a dose of this ambiance in our crazy NY city. But, we'll settle for traveling two hours again for another dose of BBQ chicken and breaded chicken & bacon pie that has left us entranced & in love w/ every aspect of this newfound GF/DF, kindness-infused gem. Don't believe me? Ya gotta go!

This place was worth the 2 hour drive to get to for gluten free food. The chef came out and talked about the (12-page!!!) gluten free menu. The staff is kind, welcoming, and would have made the experience worth it with just their service alone, but the food is also out of this world. You can tell that the kitchen really puts heart into what they do. When the chef came out, he said "It's your first time here? Welcome home!" and I felt this to be the truth. From the fresh warm bread, to the homemade mozzarella sticks, to the buffalo chicken pizza, to the zeppoles, to the gf Long Island Tea, our experience was top-notch. I'm not sure how anyone could have a single complaint about this lovely gem.

Mama's is our favorite night out spot. It's about 45-60 minutes away so we don't get to eat here often... which may be a good thing, because we always leave completely stuffed! The portions are great and the options for GF are amazing. My boyfriend has had several non-GF dishes and has liked them as well. The mozzarella sticks are the best!

Incredible place for people with Celiac and others who want or need to adhere to "alternative" diets in general. Just went for the first time and the owner, Tomasso, introduced himself and sat down at our table to walk us through the menu--which almost definitely has the most gluten free offerings I've ever seen, especially for an Italian restaurant. The portions are big and everyone at my table, gluten free and non-gluten free alike, was impressed with their dish (particular shout-out to the pear and gorgonzola purses!).

This might sound corny, but it's absolute true for Mama's: you're not just paying for a meal, you're paying for an experience. Tomasso and his staff made us feel like family, and I would sing praises of Mama's menu and quality from the mountaintops if they hadn't. Highly recommend.

This place is absolutely phenomenal ! Had the most amazing New Years dinner .Gluten free heaven! The owner sat down at our table and discused the menu with me and the options I had ( 10 pages of Gluten free) . He told me about their start to gluten free ( 13 years ago). He explained about their cautious preparation in the kitchen and how they train the staff. It was phenomenal !!! I would highly recommend it. Truly a gem for those with celiac !

Amazing / over joyous staff but food doesn't live up to that. Place is downscale. I will say GF/Vegan bread is to die for(like tasting real actual bread again). Considering all of my allergies, I'm fortunate to have found this diamond in the ruff. Love the GF/V options offered and just hoped for better food. Bit of a let down but honestly really lame food. Payed 35$ for pasta and pizza that tasted store brand or could have made my self and better at that. But really super nice folk.

Mama's is seriously the best place I have ever gone to for gluten free. I have Celiac Disease and have traveled many places, but none come close to Mama's. Who else has built a completely separate gluten free kitchen and trains all their staff to follow the best Celiac-safe practices? When you walk in, you are greeted by friendly hosts and asked if anyone in our group needs a gluten free, vegan or vegetarian menu. It's the largest and best gluten free menu. Options upon options. Fried Calamari, Appetizer Medley with Mozzarella sticks, Zucchini Fritters, and Onion Rings, then any dish named Tomaso are all amazing. Take a look at the duets if you are struggling to choose just one entree. The Ravioli duet with cheese and lobster ravioli is amazing. Gluten free bread is served too and they recently partnered with a baker who bakes it fresh and it is the best bread! Gluten free Cannoli too?? It's overwhelming how amazing everything is. Tom does the best job serving all guests making sure they love their food and their service. I love how he remembers his guests and is so genuine helping people navigate the lengthy menu. I could keep going but I'll call that enough. Can't wait for our next road trip to Northern Jersey so I can eat at my favorite restaurant again.

Really impressed! The owner personally came to our table to go over the menu! They even put a small GF sign on the table so if waiters get busy it is a reminder. Have not seen any other business owner go to this length. Not only separate prep area but separate exhaust system. Amazing to see a full menu of GF food & dessert menu! Pizza was very good & I had the lobster ravioli w/pink sauce! I felt like it was my birthday! And the best determining factor.. I did not get sick! I recommend this restaurant and hats off to the owner for providing a safe place to eat!!
