Had such a positive experience here! I am a newly diagnosed celiac (Feb) and have been trying to not be afraid of going out to eat. This was my lifestyle previously and really enjoy trying new foods. Marcella’s has been the most knowledgeable and safe restaurant I’ve been to that isn’t dedicated GF. I saw reviews and was excited to go. The best surprise was GF bread that was served warm and was seasoned sooo well. I am 100% going to keep coming back!

I've eaten here multiple times without issue- the staff is knowledgeable & helpful, menu is marked well, and have never had symptoms afterward. Their pizza, chicken parmesan, sausage, and various desserts are amazing.

The most amazing food & experience! My server Madelyn was also GF she was amazing! I had an appetizer, chicken parm & an almond flour cheesecake. Everything I ordered was marked with an allergy flag. We love to eat at the Polaris location when in Columbus. The gluten free (with modifications) items are noted on the menu and the staff is always understanding and knowledgeable. The gluten free bread is a bonus and always reminds us of how accommodating Marcella’s is to their gluten free patrons.

You come across GF restaurant reviews and it's always a shot in the dark..maybe its good, average or just mediocre. Not today! Today was the absolute best GF meal I've had in 2 years! Our waitress, Liz was very knowledgeable about GF, Celiac and cross contamination. when your server says I've had this and that and it's delicious and I don't even eat GF, you probably should give it a try. They make homemade bread with a fabulous garlic crust. I believe all of the menuu or the majority can be made GF. I had the chicken parm with red sauce and penne pasta with alfredo..I cannot say enough how delicious it was! The lemon Ricotta cheesecake with almond crust and strawberry puree was to die for! Another #1 for me was ...no upcharge for GF meal, it was the same cost as regular menu meals. I will make it a point to return to this establishment to try other GF entrees!

Here just to visit the zoo and wanted a place for dinner, my wife has to be Gluten free, Marcella's offered a large gluten free menu. Our waitress name was Liz and she was amazing!! She was very knowledgeable and the general manager Austin came to out table to make sure everything was good, he was very nice and professional. The food was amazing the people even better. Come in and say HI to Austin and Liz, they are amazing at their jobs

Vanessa was my waitress, she took care of everything making sure I had gf bread and I didn’t have to explain celiac at all. She was very knowledgeable and sweet and it was the best gf bread and pasta I’ve ever had. She also gave me free gf cheesecake to go for me to try. An amazing experience.

I’m on vacation, already suffering from a gluten attack (from rusty bucket) and I had to eat something and I found this place to have the best reviews.

I can see why celiacs love this place, not only did I love this place and the offerings, but what I ordered made me tear up. I haven’t had a chicken Parmesan and Alfredo in over a year.

No reaction either, and I’m highly sensitive.

I love that the staff took my allergy/auto immune disorder seriously. I will absolutely be back, maybe even tonight lol

I had an excellent experience here! The best Italian food I’ve had in my 13 years with celiac. The service was also very good. They offer many GF options which are clearly marked on the regular menu, and they brought me GF garlic bread as well. I had the chicken parmesan, it was so delicious!

This place is amazing!!! We had a big group of 14 for an extended family dinner and made reservations. They were very accommodating and prompt getting us seated. Our waitress Georgina was friendly, helpful, very understanding of my dietary restrictions and well-informed on what changes could be made to accommodate my celiac restrictions. We ordered Perminco Cheese dip with GF bread for appetizer and Lasagna and GF Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza. It was incredibly good! Others in our group ordered (non-GF) salads, tortellini, gnocchi, piccara and everything was delicious!

I rarely get to eat this caliber of Italian with Celiac disease and all the food was amazing and fresh! I am highly reactive to cross contamintion and understand the risks of eating out but they made me feel very comfortable and I had no reactions following dinner. I highly recommend this place of you have Celiac!

I was thrilled with my experience eating here. The food was divine. To start, they offer a GF bread that is quite good. I split a GF mushroom pizza with taleggio cheese and truffle oil as an appetizer. I thought I had died and went to heaven. To say it was delicious is a complete understatement. It was the best GF pizza I’ve had since I went GF over two years ago. And I’ve tried a lot of pizza… My main dish was GF gnocchi with a lamb bolognese sauce. It was to die for. It was the best gnocchi I’ve ever had, GF and non-GF, and I have eaten lots of gnocchi (including homemade). I could not be more pleased with my meal, and I will most definitely be going back. Service was phenomenal too. Says allergy in like eight places, which made me feel safe. HIGHLY recommend the melted pecorino cheese - comes with the pizza crust as bread (delicious) and apples to dip. So, so, so very good.

I got the gf chicken parm and it was sooooo good! There were many options!! No reaction for me!! The kitchen is not a dedicated gf facility, so if you are sensitive to cross contamination be careful. Our server was very kind!! 10/10

We are visiting Columbus from out of town and tried this resturant based solely on the great reviews on here. This restuarant is such an awesome find! Such a great variety of GF menu options it was hard to decide! We had the warm olive appetizer to share then I had the shrimp and lobster risotto with my own little plate of their DELICIOUS GF bread dipped in my own plate of EVOO. The bread was topped with herbs and had more of a "quick bread" texture but tasted amazing. I thought my days of warm bread at my table in a resturant were over. Such a treat!

Really excellent communication about GF procedures. Called ahead and confirmed they could accommodate celiac needs. The food was great, Cesar salad, entree of chicken piccata came out marked “allergy” on a little sign. The GF cheesecake dessert tasted so good I was in disbelief that it didn’t contain gluten.

Very excited to get GF chicken parm. GF bread was also good and the classic Caesar was nicely done with both shaved parm and crunchy baked parm in place of croutons. Portions are large; taking home leftovers. Only GF dessert option is cheesecake (did not try)

Honestly the best gf meal I’ve had in the 10 years I’ve been gluten free. Bread before your meal, breaded chicken Parmesan and the sauce and noodles are amazing as well! Perfect meal. My husband preferred the taste of mine over his it was good!

My daughter is gluten free and this place is amazing and Chamberlin the server was above and beyond. You can call 24 hours in advance and they will make gluten free meatballs and Ravioli even. Excellent!

This place is a gem. The manager helped me to navigate my gluten and other allergies and I was able to eat a delicious chicken dish. Would definitely recommend.

I normally get the pizza because it’s one of my favorite gluten free pizza’s ever but I was convinced by our waiter to get the gf chicken parm and WOW was it good!! Highly recommend!

Make sure you tell them when you sit down that you’re gf and they’ll bring you gf bread. I’m celiac and have always been fine, though I’m not the most sensitive celiac in the world.

When my wife made reservations, she told me she noted I had to eat GF (wives rock). They knew when we arrived and mentioned it - menu is clearly marked and easily 75% of the food, if not more, can be GF. Food was outstanding - we had an appetizer and I got a side salad with my Penne alla vodka. Food was some of the richest GF I’ve ever had. Every GF food item that was served had a wooden stick in it that showed it was for an allergy.

Our server was very knowledgeable about all the gluten free items. I felt very safe ordering food for my 10yr old daughter. She ended up doing penne pasta with red sauce and a capresse salad. Pasta was cooked perfectly. As a side note they have GF ravioli and gnocchis! Looking forward to try those next time

This place is heaven for a celiac. Separate oven for GF pizza, separate water for GF pasta. AMAZING, Fresh food and super knowledgeable staff. The melon and prosciutto is to die for. And GF bread ... hooray!

The waiter was super helpful with choosing my meal and knew what desserts I could get without needing to check with anyone. He also gave me an extra helping of their gluten free bread to go! Loved it!

Fantastic GF menu!!! Food was excellent and our server was very knowledgeable with food allergies (gluten especially). Plus, they have good GF bread. Our server even sent us home with some bread (Big score in our book!!!). Definitely recommend Marcella’s!

Amazing Staff and the food was FANTASTIC! They were very knowledgeable and took the extra step whenever an opportunity presented itself. Their staff member Jordan couldn't have done a better job. It was our family's best gluten free dining experience. Three of us are gluten free while the other three have no dietary restrictions. He made the whole table feel special.

The absolute best GF restaurant in Columbus. They take it very seriously, have separate prep areas and even a dedicated GF oven for pizza to be safe. They will also bake you fresh bread to enjoy while waiting for your meal. I feel 100% safe here

Since being diagnosed with celiac disease, the only thing I have missed is "easy" pizza that still tastes good. Either we do somewhere and they have a GF crust but not a dedicated over or they have both but it tastes terrible. I finally have a pizza! After reading the MANY positive reviews, I made a reservation at Marcella's and made sure to mention that I had CD. When I got there, they acknowledged the need for a GF menu and brought it to the table. The server, Nick, ALSO acknowledged my need for GF safety and assured me that it would not be an issue. When the server is on board, I always feel better. To my surprise, Chef James came out to greet us and let me know that they were prepared to make and experienced at making GF selections. He was very proud to let us know that Marcella's takes food allergies very seriously. I felt great! I ordered the GF Margherita D.O.C. pizza and small salad. Nick brought out a basket of good gluten free bread. It was a bit dense but very herby and flavorful. The salad was just like any side salad you would expect. The pizza was a bit more like a flatbread pizza BUT the crust was slightly crispy and slightly chewy and it tasted like CRUST! Not some odd bland, wheaty mixture. I was thrilled. I ate a little over half before I got full and then I took the rest home (which was finished off the next night). I did not get sick the next day nor did I experience any symptoms that evening. Right now, if I'm jones-ing pizza, this is going to be my go-to. Very pleased with the experience. Oh, and if you don't think they aren't on top of the allergy-thing, take a look at the receipt.

This place is amazing...the menu has so many options and they actually have GF ravioli!! The server was very knowledgeable and everything was so good we came back the second day for lunch. My GF New York-Italian friend and his father came here and they both loved it as well. Was happy to finally find a GF restaurant that served excellent Italian food!!

Very good gluten free menu. Lots to choose from. Asked the server about where the gluten free food is prepared and said they had a separate area just used for gluten free food. My wife and I shared a gluten free pizza and each had a salad. Gluten free crust was very good. Recommend the crispy potato pizza! They even had gluten free bread to have with my salad. I felt very safe eating here and staff was well informed. This will be my go to Italian Restaurant in the Columbus area.
