My daughter was starving so we got a pizza. The staff followed our instructions and we didn’t get sick. I am a celiac and have 2 children that have several food intolerances and allergies. I don’t know that all workers are so willing to be so careful
Just called, they said they keep have glten free dough, but they prepare it on the same counter as the regular dough and cook it in the same oven.
This was delicious and the server was nice
I was very impressed with this store. I called them to have them walk me through their procedure with their gluten friendly (gluten free) pizza and they had all of the right steps EXCEPT they cut all pizzas on the same wooden board at the end. We told them just to skip cutting the pizza and put it straight from the over in to the box. It was so good too and my celiac daughter had zero problems with it. We will def go there again and will take the same precautions to call, have them walk me through it and skip the cutting station. Oh and the gluten free crust is only in medium size.
Same oven but it’s one of those conveyor ovens, has its own prep area, own gluten free only trays. Eaten here 15-20 times with a family of celiacs and never had an issue. You can order online, customize a medium and the crust option is there.

They offer all their pizzas with a ‘Gluten Friendly’ crust - Medium size only. They disclaim totally Gluten-free with a warning label on the box that it’s prepared in a shared environment. That said I was VERY impressed and I had no effects. This will be my go-to for pizza. I love the different combinations on the menu plus you can build your own. Awesome pizza sauce! On-line ordering: choose Medium and you will see the Gluten Friendly option. They also have salads.
They have a tub filled with GF baking utensils that are supposed to be used only for the GF crusts. However, I’m not sure about their cleaning methods.

They have a medium gluten free pizza and most toppings are gf.
They have gluten free pizza dough in medium size. Such good pizza. However this location consistently runs out of it and substitutes with regular dough, without saying a word. If you order, make sure to call and make it clear it has to be gluten free and have them check that they have it.
I haven’t ever had a problem with their gluten free pizza as a celiac.
Staff member had a mom that was celiac so he was very knowledgeable. Glove change. Not in a celiac safe space but I did not have a reaction.
They don’t even wear gloves let alone change them. Flour was everywhere! I refused my pizza and left. Nasty place
I don't know what made me order from this place considering there is a closer pizza restaurant but I thought I'd give it a shot. They do not have a dedicated kitchen and I understand the risks. That being said, this is AMAZING!!!
I have celiac and have eaten here at least 3 times in the last couple of months (both carry out and delivery) and have never gotten sick. The pizza is delicious and it’s always cooked well and not burned, like some GF pizza places tend to do. I’m also pretty sensitive to cross contamination, and I have never been sick from this Marco’s location. I will definitely continue to eat here!
Their gluten free crust is pretty darn good. Even though there isn’t a dedicated gluten free space, the staff tries very hard to avoid cross-contamination. They have separate gf sauce scoops, pizza screens, and pizza cutters. They put the gluten-free crust directly on the pizza screen so it never touches the counter. But because they have regular pizza, they can’t say there’s no chance of cross-contamination. They avoid it very well usually.
I have been getting gf pizza from this location for several years. They consistently deliver a great pizza and take the gf precautions seriously. I have consumed a LOT of bad to mediocre pizza since my diagnosis, so I am thrilled to find a place I can count on for delicious and yummy pizza. One caveat, since Marco's is a chain/franchise, I would definitely go through the litany of questions (dedicated utensils, cooking mat, etc) at each location.
As far as gluten reaction, there was none which is great! The pizza taste was, meh. Mediocre at best. I got a deluxe style. There was waaaaay to much sauce and the toppings were just ok. Texture of the crust wasn’t bad though. It was nice to be able to order from my couch n have the pizza delivered but won’t make it a regular stop. But it’ll do in a pinch.
3 stars because the staff was honest and friendly, but she flat out said the gluten free crust is not safe for celiac due to high cross contamination. We did not order. I’m thankful to her for being upfront.
Worst experience ever tonight! I have been ordering gluten free pizza here forever. Today when I picked up my pizza it did not look right. I asked if a new one could be made, because my daughter can get extremely sick. After I gave it back to the sales associate not less than two min later the manager yelled gluten free person. I went up to the counter. He threw the pizza back on the counter and said it is gluten free and walked away. Did not care about gluten free precautions at all.
They have gluten free pizza crust. They were great and added extra sauce and cheese for us. I am thankful to have another option for pizza. My husband got a thick crust "meat lovers" type pizza and he said it was also delicious. They were very fast. We called it in and they had it ready for us when we got there 10 minutes later.
Only thing gf is the crust. Talking to the girl at the counter she said they are gluten friendly, cheese is not gf and the pizza is made in the same kitchen with same ingredients as non gf pizzas.
They were fantastic! So careful to follow gluten free protocol. The pizza was delicious my daughter said best GF pizza ever. Liked that is is made I medium so enough for 2! Nima reared and was gluten free.
Offer GF crust, separate utensils used(cooking sheet/pizza cutter) but still other non GF items prepared in the kitchen. They give the warning of "this is not a dedicated kitchen, not safe for Celiac", explained CC to the person taking our order (Brandon). He said he would use separate toppings not already on the line so that there would not be CC. Felt fine afterwards. Giving 5 stars because he made the GF one first and used toppings not already on the line. Brandon was also very friendly and accommodating!!
This was the first time we tried a take out pizza with my son since he was diagnosed last year. They took precautions to get new sauce out and different utensils. He had no reaction. They said to always talk to manager when ordering.
Their Gluten Free Pizza is SO FREAKING DELICIOUS!!! The crust is perfect! And their sauce and toppings are incredible as well! Also, I felt it does reheat well if you throw it in the oven at 380 until hot! Going to be coming to this Marcos often!
Really good gluten-free pizza in a decent size (12" medium) for a decent price, something that's hard to find around here. Only Brunetti's Express way up in Mechanicsville has a larger gluten-free pizza. There is a risk of cross contamination, but the kitchen is very clean and they appear to take precautions to try to avoid it. Definitely worth a try.
I am really sensitive. I have never had problems, great dough high quality! they will add they're medium coupons to the GF
