For those that have been getting sick here its the rice it has wheat in it. My wife and I have been coming here for years and she never gets sick it is actually one of our safe spots here in town just make sure if the server doesnt know about gluten free options ask to talk to a manager. And corn tortillas are safe make sure you dont get the flour ones just a few things the think about and the chips have their own fryer used only for the chips they are indeed safe.

I asked if the chips were fried separately and they said they are. I also asked if the margaritas were safe and they said just the top shelf margaritas are. Seemed knowledgeable. Menu marked with GF options. Had the nachos for dinner.

I got sick after eating there. I didn’t try the chips, just in case, so it was something on my entrée.

I ordered street tacos because the menu said they came on corn tortillas and even has “GF” next to them. When I received the tacos, they were on a flour tortilla. I asked the waitress to fix it for me and she rolled her eyes. She came back 2 minutes later and it was clear she basically took the same taco filling from the flour tortilla to the corn tortilla.

My husband and I ate here and the waitress seemed unsure about what was all safe for me. I ended up ordering something off the menu that was listed “gluten free” and got terribly sick. That night my stomach blew up like a balloon, and I had a headache tor 7 weeks straight. And normally I don’t consider my self a sensitive celiac, so I think the food had straight up gluten in it. Not just cross contamination.

Absolutely loved this place prior to celiac diagnosis. Unfortunately I was ill on TWO occasions after having food clearly labeled GF and making it clear to the sever i needed GF due to being celiac. I had the cheese and spinach enchiladas and the chicken enchiladas. Im so bummed but I will never make the mistake of eating here again. Definitely NOT celiac safe.

I had the best enchiladas I’ve ever had here (cheese and spinach). Seriously the highlight of our meal. Fajitas were good. Chips are made in a dedicated fryer. This was a travel meal stop for us and we just might stop on our way back home from the UP.

Delicious! So accommodating. The manager came over to see if I had any questions before ordering. Very celiac friendly.
One of my favorite places to go eat at. Just make sure to let them know you have an allergy. Some of the staff don’t know everything about the gluten free options but are willing to go ask if they’re unsure.

We love the chips and the CCQ (queso dip) is also GF. My celiac LO orders the chicken tacos and a flavored smoothie.

Good food, knowledgeable staff, no contamination episodes. Visit often.
I've been sick a couple of times from Margarita's, but most of the time I have been fine. This place has fantastic American-Mexican. It's my wife's favorite place, so we go all the time. I usually get enchiladas.
