I had a wonderful steak and a few of the shared sides. The waiter was knowledgeable and it seems their tablet when placing an order indicates to them allergens in the individual meals. He was able to help me navigate what I could and could not order. The food was excellent and I did not get sick.
Exceptional view - do your best to get an outdoor table around sunset, though the nighttime stargazing is also a treat. Team was very aware of celiac and could modify almost the entire menu (besides the famous empanadas)
I had the tuna tar tar, scallops, fillet (with elote and lemon mashed potatoes) and the highlight - the salted caramel flourless chocolate cake ❤.
Worth the splurge.
I was dissatisfied dining here. Most dishes (I’d say 75% of the menu) needs to be modified for GF without cross contamination. Most salads would also have to go without anything crunchy. I was not offered substitutions and one of our waiters was condescending when I asked about the topping on a dish that looked like breadcrumbs. He also bashed on gluten free chocolate cake!
The entree was good but not memorable. Wine was good and the place is pretty.
Nothing on the menu is marked - but don’t let that scare you.
When we arrived the waiter went over the menu and asked about food allergies. I said gluten, and he’s said well then you probably have a pretty good idea of what you can/can’t have just let me know if you have any questions. At first this worried me a little bit, but those fears were alleviated when I ended up asking some questions.
Our waiter knew every gluten detail down to which steak marinades had soy sauce, which sides started out in a floured pan, etc. They even had GF desert which was delicious - and he reiterated what was GF in the desert down to the crumbles in the ice cream when it was served.
I had ribeye, lemon zest mashed potato’s, roasted Brussels sprouts, and flourless chocolate cake with ice cream with no issues. Side note: get here a little early or plan to stay late because the views from outside the restaurant are incredible for pictures.
Great “higher end” dining (without being too fancy for this simple Celiac). Think a Morton’s or Ruth’s Chris environment and pricing. Upon greeting us, our awesome waiter Diego asked if there were any food allergies which is always a good sign as at the end of the day when we choose to eat out, all we have is the trust in the staff to not poison us for days. While there is no dedicated GF menu or markings on regular menu, much of the menu is either gluten free or can be modified to be so. Our server was super knowledgeable and thoroughly explained my options. I ordered the Cubano skirt steak and my wife ordered a filet mignon. Both were prepared exactly as ordered and were delicious. For desert we ordered their flourless chocolate cake and an order of flan that served as the perfect ending to a great meal.
This is a great date night or special occasion location! The view is incredible but I warn you need reservations normally months in advance. With that said, almost everything is or can be gluten free except for the Yuka fries, au gratin potatoes, and there was a dish with fried shoestrings that would have to be left off due to the frying oil cross contamination. The servers were very knowledgeable and asked if I was sensitive to cross contamination to make sure to point out areas that could have it like the frying oil. I had the pulpo parrilla (octupus), Flores del Mar, and they made us a gluten free chocolate cake (does contain almond flour) and if needing dairy free they have a raspberry sorbet. My husband had the skirt steak and empenadas (not gluten free).
Server seemed a bit confused about what GF meant. I had called ahead and discussed with them about our needs which they said they could accommodate. Issue may have been that I’m both GF and vegetarian. But I swelled up within a couple hours and had a rough go after. I’d say not celiac friendly and not vegetarian friendly.
Went for dinner and it was amazing. The server was very knowledgeable and talked me through all the options of what could be gluten free. We had the scallops, rack of lamb and the fish special then finished the meal with a flourless chocolate cake. Everything was tasty and felt very comfortable with the staff taking celiac seriously. Also the views are incredible at sunset.
We had a lovely waiter who was able to tell me that a lot on the menu was gluten free naturally. He asked if it was an allergy or an intolerance, which leads me to believe they have strategies in place for celiac individuals. We enjoyed the walnut-lentil croquettes, the pollo rustico, the pescado paradiso, and maple flan for dessert. Everything was wonderful and no reaction. Will definitely return if in the area again
Had an amazing dinner here. The food was quite good and they were very careful about handling gluten free. We had two appetizers, the octopus and the sausage, and I had the fish of the day (halibut) on a bed of quinoa, corn and tomatoes. I had no issues whatsoever with the food. It’s a pricey restaurant, but the views of the sunset and gluten free choices made it very worthwhile for a special evening.
TO DIE FOR!!!! The ambiance and guest service is exceptional, but the food is God-tier. I had the best salad of my life - Lisa’s Chopped Salad (without the crispy onions), Pollo Rustico (GF on its own), and the most incredible flourless chocolate cake with salted caramel gelato! Our waitress was very knowledgeable about allergens on the menu and made me feel super safe.
very knowledgeable staff and nicely accommodating. did not ask about cc in fryers.
