stupid - don't go for brunch management is terrible

Terrible experience.
They have the entire menu marked with GF or SGF for items that are or could be ordered gluten free. I told the waiter I was gluten free and ordered two of the marked items. When the food came, I had a strange feeling and asked the waiter to confirm that the dishes were indeed gluten free as I have Celiac's. Turns out neither of the items were gluten free at all. The restaurant manager, waiter and chef all attempted to make it right, and I was told that there was a new chef and the menu would be updated. But until then, if you have Celiac's, you should avoid this restaurant.

The main menu states whether items are gluten free as is, or if they can be altered to be gluten free. It was nice to be able to share food with others at the table, since so many items were gluten free! Definitely recommend the bottomless brunch!
Waitstaff has been very accommodating at brunch both times I've eaten here. The GF menu is legit and lengthy, and when you ask for a menu they ask whether it's medical or preference. Really enjoyed the bacon fried rice and plantains! Fantastic for bottomless brunch!

If you are willing to be firm with the waitstaff, the restaurant will take your allergies very seriously and a chef will deliver your food. The upstairs patio service is first come first serve and a little less formal, so would recommend downstairs. Have been safe from CC eating sushi there twice. Also, they have a gluten free brunch menu- one of the few in DC.
Our starter arrived at our table AN HOUR after we ordered. The waitress was unapologetic. The food was mediocre and expensive for what it was. The server brought over soy sauce (not tamari) after we explicitly said gluten free. Thankfully we caught it before consuming. We are celiac and would not recommend this restaurant.
