UPDATED REVIEW-10/22/16 THIS RESTAURANT WAS PERMANENTLY SHUT DOWN BECAUSE OF HURRICANE MATTHEW.

Nice little restaurant right on A1A and Matanzas inlet. I had crab cakes and blackened Mahi. The owner/cook came to the table. She has Celiac. They also have Desserts. As a celiac is was great to be able to come to a non-chain off the path restaurant. You can sit outside by the water or inside A/C.

Good selection of gf items, including crab cakes and cheesecake but I was expecting better seafood. Lost a star because crab legs were stringy and all our fish was pretty dry. So it was a treat for me- but my gluten eating family was not impressed.

Chef /owner has celiac's so the menu is a refreshing mix of options with lots of flavor. The crab cake was delectable (not fried) but the clam chowder almost made me cry. I live in Boston and even there it is impossible to find a gluten free chowder, even at Legal's where they do gluten free well, so it has been years since I'd had what was once my favorite. This chowder was delicious I could've eaten a vat of it. I had my mom try it (who isn't gf) and she agreed it was as good as some of the best chowders she's had -ps she's a chowder snob. We also had gf Reubens, mahi mahi entree and pizza which were delicious. Only thing I missed is a dedicated fryer because the sweet potato fries looked and smelled amazing.

Folks live nearby so I'll definitely be back on each visit.

Great mussels in a garlic sauce. I added a roll (it was a hamburger bun) to dip in the sauce. Enjoyed it with a Redbridge. Chef has celiac but there is a disclaimer about cross contamination as with most restaurants.

I had the GF crab cakes, peel and eat shrimp, and marble cheesecake for dessert. The food and the view were amazing. I even saw sea turtles! The atmosphere outside and the staff are always a pleasure! The owner has celiac, and I have never had a problem here, as they take special care. You won't want to miss the location either.

Went last night and was VERY disappointed. They do not have a dedicated fryer, crab cakes no longer on the GF menu, and they have a disclaimer on the GF menu that they can't guarantee no CC. And, the food was not good. Very expensive for so so food.

We went here after reading the wonderful reviews but I have to say we were extremely disappointed. The food was ok but nothing extraordinary. We ordered the crab cakes because of the reviews. They were good, not exceptional, and seemed overpriced for 2 small cakes. Fish tacos were the best of what was ordered at our table. Overall impression was that it was very overpriced. Would not recommend at all.

Glad we read reviews or we would have missed this hidden gem! Owner is celiac and staff very knowledgeable. Had delicious crab cakes it's been so long, and conch soup. Spicy and delicious, marble cheesecake was out of this world! Don't miss this place if your nearby.

The owner is diagnosed with celiac and is very excited to meet others with the disease. The food was very good and I felt comfortable knowing she understood the disease.

Decent GF menu with chowders, crab cakes, pizza, salads, fresh fish, veggies, and dessert. Tried the crab cakes after getting recommendation from the waitress. Was a little disappointed because I only got 2 cakes for $13. The Datil sauce was wonderful! Atmosphere was very laid back and you felt like you could really hang out for awhile. Would probably go back and try something new.

The (mostly) crab cakes were really good. I mean, lick-your-plate-clean-and-ask-for-more kind of good. This was the first time I've been able to try a GF crab cake, and I have really been missing them! The pizza was also pretty good, although the pepperoni wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped and I have had better GF pizza crust, although this wasn't bad. The tuna steak was also wonderful and to be honest, these were some of the best fries I've ever had. The portions are generous, food is fresh and server very helpful. I was disappointed that they only had the marbled cheesecake as a GF dessert option. Cheesecake isn't my favorite and I had heard such good things about their dessert, I was really looking forward to it. Regardless, I will be coming back the next time.

The GF pasta was wonderful. Actually had the server confirm it was gluten free. The owner (also a celiac) came to our table to reassure us and to explain the kitchen procedures as well as the GF deserts. Attentive and courteous staff.

This place came highly recommended, so we had dinner here while traveling through St. Augustine last month. I am so glad we stopped. We met Joni, the owner (and fellow celiac) and she has really done a lot to make GF dining pleasurable and safe.

She even stocks a GF beer.

We had the pasta with shrimp, an artichoke appetizer, salads, and her special GF marble cheesecake.

It was very good and it was wonderful to sit and watch the sunset and know I was eating safely.

Thanks, Joni!!!

On our way back to Atlanta, we took the scenic route up A1A just so that we could eat here. The gluten free menu is awesome, and the service is excellent!
