So I just want to say that I love this place. It is so charming and in a great location and the food is tasty. I’ve been several times but I’m sad to say that I do get sick after eating here. I guess I keep hoping maybe it will be different each time? I am bummed because I do love it. But service has also been kinda going downhill. I also found plastic wrap around my gluten free bread today and they were very nonchalant about it all.
They do say that they cook things separately and that things are safe, so folks who are less sensitive will maybe be ok! But I just wanted to share my experience just in case others need to make a decision.
I went here for brunch the other day and had a great experience! They have a few gf options like paninis with gf bread, or sandwiches with gf bread, but I got an omelette with side of potatoes. The omelette came with toast but I let my server know that I have celiac/severe allergy and asked her how they prepare the gf bread. She said that when people are that sensitive, they pan fry the slice of toast on its own skillet instead of using a toaster. When my food came out they announced “gf omelette with toast separately toasted on its own pan.” Made me feel very safe! And the gf bread they have is amazing and so fluffy!
Very cute environment as well and all proceeds from this restaurant go towards local schools.
