We ate at MBP last night and they do take food allergies very seriously which gave me confidence. Knowledgeabke staff but the jerk chicken is listed as gluten free on the menu. I heard our server say it was fried which led me to ask if they have a dedicated fryer and they don't. She grabbed another staff member who stated she was celiac as well and that no they don't have a dedicated fryer but that when the fryer gets to 400 degrees it kills the protein in gluten so I would be fine and she herself has eaten it and been fine. It sounded too good to be true but I was hopeful and ordered it as she assured me she has never gotten sick. I don't know what else they use the fryer for but I came home and did my research and the high temp in a fryer does not actually kill the gluten so ask a lot of questions if you eat here as I worry the staff is not 100% educated on celiac. I ended up eating the red snapper fish which was gluten free and tasted amazing.
