I let them know I'm Gluten free but not celiac. They immediately offered me a GF menu. Could not have been nicer. There were more items on the regular menu that I ordered modified (no soy sauce on the Coast to Coast Tuna) and they were so happy to oblige. Really impressed with the service. And the food was great too. Well done M&S Atlanta!
This place was excellent! Our server was knowledgeable about food allergies and they had a separate menu with ample choices. I’m Gf/DF and they accommodated me beautiful. I had the lobster cob salad and we ate outside so we could hear the music and see the people from Quincy market and Daniel hall. A great experience.
Separate gluten free menu. Ordered the shrimp Santa Fe salad off the GF menu (wasn't even ON the regular menu) and it came out with flour tortilla strips on it. No manager brought it out which should have been the first red flag. I stupidly ate some before realizing. The manager tried saying, "the strips aren't gluten free but the rest of the salad is"..... (?!!) Regardless of their profuse apologies and comping our meals this was unacceptable. Glutened. Hard.
Went on NYE after we were assured the restaurant could handle GF. They did do a great job with the food - but it was like pulling teeth to find out what the Gf options were. The waiter said - I would think the seafood would be a safe bet... he did ask the chef our questions but he seemed not happy about it. Up front I even explained that we had Celiac so he knew we weren’t eating GF on a whim. For dessert we asked what was GF and he said the sorbet. After probing and his asking chef, we found several other dessert options. As we were asking about other desserts, he kept saying - I know the sorbet is GF. For that kind of money, the restaurant should have clear options to indicate what can be is is GF.
I have celiacs plus multiple food allergies and it's very difficult for me to eat out so I usually don't but we we celebrating our anniversary, so we went here. They were very careful and accommodating. Usually when they hear my allergy list they end up giving me super plain, bland food. I'm tired of paying tons of money for boring and bland food just because I can't eat peppers. Not here! They gave me both delicious and safe food! I have had these allergies for only a year and a half and have eaten out about 10 times and this is the first time anyone seasoned my food at a restaurant!
The last time we visited an M&S, it was fantastic. This was not. I called ahead to ask if they validated parking in the Biltmore garage. The employee (who ended up being our pretty good waiter) said they did, but they do not. A hostess told me there wasn't a GF menu, but there was. The food tasted good, but not great. It was delivered lukewarm, but we were too hungry to wait again. A manager brought me an item with a gluteny garnish. They do not offer GF bread or rolls. I wouldn't go back because it should be consistently great at that price point. I did not get sick.
Excellent seafood and the best filet I've ever had. You must specifically request their gluten free menu, and it changes seasonally as do the rest of their dishes. They only use McCormick spices in their food so there is no added MSG. They also have an extensive bar and the wait staff has never been anything but wonderful. It's a great place for a fancy night out. Expect $20-$30 per main course. My celiac partner and I have eaten here many times without issue.
So good! Keep in mind that their gluten free menu is just for their year round food. There are options on the main menu that are safe, you just have to ask. The wait staff is very helpful and accommodating. They took my food needs very seriously and checked every detail.
Advised as gluten free menu. Show up to eat and the waitress advises me that they do not and that she would recommend the fresh fish or steak with steamed veggies and no seasoning. Please don't advertise a gluten free menu if you don't have one.
Food was delicious. Great options. As a celiac I would have had to order the salads with no blue cheese but I had the crab tower as an appetizer and the scallops as an entree and was pleased with both. The wait staff was knowledgeable and very pleasant.
Now they do have a separate gluten free menu that includes several types of fish, shrimp, and steaks. Also available are several sides, cheesy mashed potatoes, salads. I had salmon stuffed with shrimp, crab n Brie - very yummy! The best ( only ) gluten free dessert was a flour less chocolate cake- thick, fudgy n delicious. Pretty expensive, but I would definitely go there again for a special occasion.
They had a pretty good gluten free menu. It had lots of fish and a few beef options on it. I chose a crab & shrimp stuffed salmon. We also ordered red pepper white cheddar mash and it was amazing. I didn't order dessert so I'm not sure if they have a GF option or not. They did have a creme brûlée in the standard menu so I would "assume" that would be ok, but I never discussed that with my server. It was a great meal.
One of those "old boys' club"-style places with dark wood panelling (and prices to match), they turn out consistently delicious seafood and steaks. While the restaurant doesn't advertise itself as GF, they provide a GF menu on request. The servers are all well-informed and the kitchen is happy to perform substitutions on the regular menu as well. An attractive option for a dress-up date with your sweetheart or to take a business client.
It's always nice when the chef comes out to clearly explain safe and not safe choices. I had the Mahi Mahi grilled which came with mashed potatoes and green beans. All were good. The shrimp scampi style side was good. I appreciate the knowledge of all staff from top to bottom at any restaurant that claims to understand Gluten Free. I had high expectations and my gluten eating family did, too. My fish was a tad dry, my husband's steak was not his favorite (we love Flemings) and I blame that on being there on a Monday when the real chef probably had their "weekend". Overall a nice dinner in a nice restaurant. Spoil yourself and give it a try!
Their GF menu is quite abbreviated, but it contained items that were both beef and seafood. I had the prime top sirloin that came with steamed broccoli, grilled tomato and I ordered a side chopped salad. The salad was huge and very tasty with olives, tomatoes and lots of other goodies. The steak was cooked perfectly. The waiter was very aware of my gluten free requirements. Total cost of my meal before tip was $35. All in all a great experience and one I'd repeat if I were in this area again.
Horrible! My $34 steak tasted like water. The Baked Potato Gruyere ($9) side was obviously microwaved. Everything arrived cold and not cooked properly. Normally steaks are under cooked, here they over cook them. Staff not knowledgeable about gluten at all, yet they have a gluten free menu that doesn't include sides! The chain restaurant is owned by Landry Inc, and won't be eating at any of their chains from now on. Look them up, you'll be surprised how many different chain restaurants they own.
