Gluten free menu, had to return salad with croutons, appetizers oysters and crab were excellent, rockfish and others meals were overcooked and did not live up to the menu explanation. The after effects were from a cross contamination issue. It was not a be back experience.
Food was really delicious and the service was good! I was really excited to finally feel confident when ordering gluten free chicken strips! Sooooo gooooooood!
Heard good things so we tried it. Asked for Gluten Free recommend dishes and out server brought us a Full Gluten Free menu with alot to choose from. Thanks McGraths !
I found this place to be mediocre and the thing that upset me was our waitress left us halfway through the dinner service. Who in their right mind does that? Never again our we coming here
Wonderful place to eat!
My favorite restaurant! They are willing to make their items GF if they can. The employees that I have had are willing to check on anything that they aren't sure of.
We are at the bar. The service there was very good and the bar tender was extremely knowledge of GF safe alcohol. She was so nice and made cocktails from the “specials” menus and changed out any questionable ingredients. It made it so nice. The food was good, not great but acceptable. The salads were huge.
Yes, they have a gluten free menu but I wouldn’t recommend the food. I had the Alder plank Salmon and I ended up feeding it to my dogs. It was over seasoned, probably to compensate for the lack of flavor of the fish. The vegetables it was served with were oily and over cooked and mostly baby carrots (bleh). The potato I got was ok, nothing special and tasted like it was microwaved rather than from an oven. I also ordered a side salad that had a puddle of water at the bottom of the plate as if they had just washed it and threw it together. Waste of money and will not return.
It was ok. They have a separate gluten free menu. I had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, scallop and prawn skewers with potatoes and coleslaw. The coleslaw was good, the stuffed mushrooms were good with a good sprinkle of salt, but the potatoes and skewers were pretty bland. I don’t know if that is maybe because they have gluten in their spices so can’t put them on there but they were still bland even with salt, butter, and a squeeze of lemon. I don’t know. I was super hungry though so I ate them. I wouldn’t really recommend it if someone asked for recommendations for restaurants and wouldn’t come back myself, but someone else might like it if they like less seasoned food.
It was ok, not spectacular. My husband's crab legs looked frozen from last winter's haul then deep fried. They were slim and bendy, they wouldn't crack open easily, and the meat inside looked dehydrated. My salmon was a big portion but not much flavor to the crab stuffing or lobster cream sauce. I had high hopes but likely won't go back. Waitress seemed to be somewhat aware of celiac needs and options...she asked the chef when unsure.
Be careful. They have a gluten free menu and claim to accomadate gluten allergies, but they are careless in the kitchen. I stressed to the waitress that I had an allergy and I found a penne noodle mixed in with my vegetables. I was sick for days.
They seem to have come a long way since the last review (2015). My waiter was extremely knowledgeable about GF issues and they have a special gluten-free menu with many good choices on it. They even accommodated my dairy-free needs.
Friendly staff, but food leaves much to be desired. I ordered the alder plank rock fish, which came with broccoli. the fish was actually tilapia or some other cheap flaky white fish, definitely not rock fish; also, there is no way it was cooked on a wooden plank- it didn't have that flavor or texture at all; and it was seasoned with some weird Creole flavors (Cajun was an option for the rock fish, but not what I ordered). The broccoli tasted like it had been frozen and freezer burned, and I don't know what else, but awful (broccoli is my favorite, and i couldn't choke this stuff down). The menu doesn't note item that are GF, so you need to be familiar with your diet to eat here.
They advertise FRESH fish...but the waitress admitted it is all frozen...I of course talked to the chef about Celiac awareness...I ordered the shark...I gave this place a 2 because the food was not cooked right. I did not get cross contaminated at least...I will not go back due to the food is over priced and not worth my money!
