At first blush, three GF items on a hotel restaurant menu seemed lacking. Even though I was staying overnight, I almost drove the 15 miles north to Longview.
Thankfully, inertia won out! They offer GF buns so I asked the server if the burger was GF. Yep! Fries GF? Fries AND tater tots.
Server asked if I was celiac or sensitive, said she’d be sure the chef knew I was celiac.
Returned to my table a few minutes later to inform me they do not have a dedicated GF fryer. Also mentioned that one of the kitchen staff is celiac and loooves the fries.
So… delish burger (I opted for the lettuce wrap… too many carbs in a bun, GF or not LOL)… and fries and GF blue cheese dressing to dip my fries in.
Really a delightful meal. This is my 3rd McMenamins hotel to visit and each restaurant experience has been a nice surprise.

They do not have a dedicated fryer. They do offer a few gf options but not a ton. Way more vegan options.

There is no dedicated fryer. One item on the menu is labeled as GF. No GF menu. They told us that they have GF buns, but the burger on the menu wasn't celiac safe. Very disappointed because every other mcmenamins i have been to has been safe and accommodating.

Told them I was celiac then received my food which was prepared in shared fryer. Also they could not verify that the salad dressing was gluten free. Returned my order and left :(
No
This is my 3rd time here. Prior to this time, I would have given it 5 stars. This time was very disappointing. I ordered the Maui rice bowl which was clearly marked as gluten free on the menu. The ingredients listed were gf. My order was served and I began to eat it. After several bites, I noticed that there were coated, deep fried onion strips included. These were not mentioned in the ingredient lists and were clearly NOT gf. Needless to say, I was angry as I knew what this would mean for me (nausea and vomiting for hours). When I asked the server, she was very nice, but that was no comfort. The manager apologized and did send me home with a complimentary order. I most likely will go back, but will be very cautious. My advice is to be very explicit and careful.
Small overall menu, and small selection of gluten free foods, buns available for burgers (I was told Udi’s), and also pizza for $3 more (for a small 😒). I ended up ordering the Jamaican rice bowl and it was delicious. A very creamy (possible curry) sauce in the bowl that was also dairy free. Vegan options available too. I asked about the fries here, and it was one frier for all the food so I steered clear of that since I’ve gotten sick from fries from a shared frier before.
