Pre-celiac this was one of my favorite restaurants. Still great but choices are more limited since the pork and beef are marinated in soy sauce

Only a few of the servers were aware of gluten allergies. I actually had to send my food back because it had soy sauce on it. Food wasn’t that good here anyways. Would skip.

We had a good experience for our GF and egg free child. He's pretty easy - had spring rolls and rice noodles. Waiter was very helpful and willing to accommodate. I do think mostly all of their meat is cooked in soy sauce - we did not ask but I think they would cook it special order if needed.
Not many options. So many ask "What's the buzz about?" Duh- they have one of the best selections of fantastic beer in the country. But not much for Celiacs. They do have a couple of options and are generally informed and safe if you are clear with your expectations. This is a great place to go with your beer loving non-Celiac friends because there is something for everybody. But I'd never go just to go. The GF options aren't that impressive and there's not the impression that there is a dedicated prep for GF. But it is a (non Celiac) beer drinker's paradise.

Now mainly a beer joint. Ate there last night. Wait staff no help. Food has taken a back seat.
I don't understand why this place continues to be so extremely popular. It is okay but there are other Vietnamese restaurants that are better in the area.
It was ok. It definitely wasn't what I would call celiac safe. The waiter seemed shocked and confused by my asking for gluten free options, but was able to list some options which included soft spring rolls, pho, noodle dishes with white sauce, and stir fry with white sauce. He did take the time to verify what he said with the kitchen, which I appreciate. The lack of a dedicated gf menu was annoying. I hate having to depend on a waiter's knowledge of the food ingredients. They had omission beer (not considered celiac safe) and a hard cider. Out of a HUGE beer selection, they only had one viable choice for Celiacs. My husband isn't gluten free, and we were both left wondering what the buzz about Mekong was about. The food was good, but not as good as we were expecting based on the amount of hype around this place. It is also hard to enjoy a meal while wondering if you are going to get sick. I will say that the service was fast and pleasant, though.
