My favorite place to get pizza!
Love the gf pizza! they also have df cheese too
Really great pizza! Sadly, some toppings that you would think are gluten free (example: pineapple) are not gluten free. Also, the salads are okay, not fantastic. A little pricy, but not too bad. Staff is knowledgable and are always willing to help! Groovy place, love the art and atmosphere!
Service is awesome and I had really anticipated great Gf pizza but mine came out burned and the crust was cracker like so I was very disappointed!! Would go back fir their drinks, salads and friendly service. Also the pizza was tasteless, needed to add salt, pepper and hit peppers.
Very good gluten free pizza! I have eaten here twice and no issues at all. The staff are very aware if the requirements. Just tell them it is an allergy versus preference. Pizza tastes great and is a good size.
Gluten free pizza very tasty , and staff is very knowledgable about patrons being gluten free. Have eaten there several times with out getting sick .
Just had the best pizza I've had in a long time! The crust was nice and thin and crispy! We had the gluten free house special and it was delicious! Along with a couple of gluten free beers; perfect dinner!
The waitress explained, without needing me to ask, that the preparers took extra precautions to avoid cross contamination. I ordered the Cosmic Karma. Crust was a bit overdone (hence the for stars) - probably because they don't make too many and the cook may have been unfamiliar with how gluten free crusts cook differently. Next time, I'll ask them to make sure it's taken out a few minutes early. Will update the review if necessary. Other than that, no negative reactions!
Best Gluten-Free pizza ever. They have a separate area for the food prep. Friendly staff.
Fabulous gluten free pizza! Management is very knowledgeable!
me and my girls can't have gluten or dairy and they did a great job! kept our pizza completely separate from everything else and when he took it out of the oven he never put it down until he personally brought it to our table! They were so understanding and it was so great to be somewhere were the staff didn't look at you like you were crazy
I really, really want to love this place, but I can't. I've eaten the GF pizza here on four occasions. Three times it has made me sick to some degree. It has to be from cross contamination. If you are gluten sensitive, it might be okay, but it's not for those with celiac.
I've had the gluten free pizza before, and while it is actually pretty good it made me sick the next day. I don't think they prep it in a separate area than the regular pizza.
A screen pan and the same oven when baking the pizza does not in any way prevent cross contact. Owning a pizzeria for 20 years and understanding allergies you are not safe here
I've been skeptical but on Memorial Day I was out of options. Had the Veg Out GF, DF and baked wings. Requested glove changes. No symptoms. Even with a regular pizza on the ticket.
This place is absolutely amazing! I placed a to go order and they said 35-40 minutes. I had a small emergency on my way so it took me over an hour. Pizza was cold upon my arrival. Not only did they remake my pizza they also apologized I had to wait 9 minutes when I got there. Will definitely be my only place for pizza. It's delicious, I never get sick and they care about their customers!
I typically love Mellow Mushroom. I've eaten at two locations in Louisville many times with no issue. However, I noticed this location dropped their gf insert on their menu (was in every menu) and I definitely got glutened when I ordered the gf pizza. I will go back, I think it was one bad experience, but exercise diligence.
We eat here about once or twice a month and I never get sick. I've eaten the pizza and the wings, delicious! They even substitute the celery for carrots for me with the wings. The staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable about gluten free. My son was eating normal pizza with my husband and contaminated my water, the waitress was super nice and grabbed me a completely new drink with no fuss! Fantastic customer service!
Delicious gluten-free pizza with many topping options!! My daughters loved!!! Our waitress Sam was great too!
They have really great pizza! I eat at the one on Veterans Blvd more often with no problem. Ate here, the location on oak, yesterday for lunch and woke up today feeling pretty sick. I'm assuming it's from possible cross contamination. So those with Celiac's be careful!
No offense, but this place was a joke for the price. My teenager has Celiac's. Pizza wasn't that great and for $22+ it wasn't worth the rest of our meals to sit through. She said it compared to Udi's frozen. Our bill for a family of 4 was right around $120+ with appetizers and drinks, not including tip. None of us finished our food due to taste. My 7 year old wanted just cheese pizza and it came on garlic bread, which she hates and was not advertised as that on children's menu. Our service was the other issue. It took TWO HOURS and most of the time we were flagging our waitress asking her for things versus her anticipating need: drinks, plates picked up, orders placed and not yet received. We all got our meals at different times. We were on patio, therefore out of mind out of sight, I guess. This place is not worth the $$$.
I have been here several times, and my rating is an average of all of the visits. This location has a small, dedicated space that they use to prepare the pizzas. I have never gotten sick from the pizzas. The gluten free pizzas are really good if they are served just out of the oven. (The gluten free pizzas typically come out at a very different time than other pizzas at your table.) If the gluten free pizza is rushed/"flown"due to a mistake or a possible contamination issue, the pizza is not very good.
Definitely a hit or miss type of place. The actually care they take in preventing contamination seems to depend on how busy the restaurant is. And it's super expensive for a thin, crusty pizza.
