Manager came to our table to talk about their procedure when making GF items. They change aprons and gloves plus prepare the pizza in a back room. Pizza is cooked in a separate oven

Mellow Mushrooms chain is safe for celiacs! They prepared my gf pie in a dedicated kitchen space after changing aprons and gloves. Delicious and safe!

We visited once for gf pizza and were happy with their knowledge of safe gluten free pizza preparations. Their gluten free preparation information is detailed right on their menu. The gf pizza was good and we will return. My only reason for taking off a star is that the price can get quite expensive for a small gf pizza. That being said, I’m happy to have a pizza place that I feel comfortable with.

Mellow Mushroom no longer lists which toppings are gluten free. The waitress could not give me a list but said they she knew all the gluten free toppings. I asked specifically if roasted red peppers are gf since I remember that it was 1 item on the old menu that was not listed gf. She said yes they are gluten free. So now I don't trust anything.

Wasnt the best gluten free pizza I've ever had, but it wasnt awful either. I've ate here several times and have had no reaction. However, I think cross contamination is a possibility here so eat at your own risk.

I absolutely LOVE Mellow Mushroom! They have wonderful allergy protocols in place and use a separate kitchen space for preparing their gluten free pizzas. I ate here 3 times on my trip as it is one of the only celiac safe restaurants in Hiram that I came across. I always get the Veg Out pizza with vegan cheese as I’m allergic to dairy as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone with Celiac and/or a dairy allergy!

Their gluten free pizza is very inconsistent. I’ve had it at one location and it was amazing and the next one is barely ok. Probably wouldn’t get it again

Management and staff were friendly, but did not tell me about baking GF pizza in the same ovens with regulate wheat pizzas. Instant cross contamination. I was sick for weeks. Ask about this. Ate at the location In Charleston they had a separate preparation station for Gluten free every thing and a separate oven. I am a very sensitive Celiac and I had no problems there. I am not sure these chains really understand Celiac disease and think saying GF is enough, wrong.

My daughter’s gluten free pizza was the best we’ve tried so far. They only make it in a 10 inch but it is plenty big enough for one.

I get pizzas and salads here often and haven’t gotten sick yet and I’m generally pretty sensitive to cross contamination. It’s my understanding that they prepare the gluten free pizzas in a separate area as well. Very tasty pizzas and worth trying

They have a dedicated kitchen for gluten free items but I feel like it’s hit or miss if I have a reaction. Their managers are well trained but I don’t think the staff is always the most cautious

There are only gluten free pizzas and a brownie but the staff are very helpful about what ingredients may have cross contamination and which are safe. I had a gluten free pizza with feta, Roma tomatoes, and green pepper. My first choice were roasted peppers and ricotta cheese but our server said they may be at risk of contamination and showed me the screen of the safe options. I’d give 5 stars if the menu eliminated that step by indicating which ingredients are available to celiacs.

Not overly impressed with the taste. The gf crust was like a cracker. I ordered to meat pie, with a sub of vegan cheese instead of mozzarella. They neglected to put the tomato sauce that comes with it on it. My husband's gluten-free white pizza seems to have vegan cheese also, although he asked for mozzarella. He is not dairy free. They did seem to keep us safe from the gluten and that is good.

The new Mellow Mushroom is NOT celiac safe. I’ve had it twice in the past 3 months. I thought the first time could have been an accident, but I went again last week and have been horribly ill despite talking with the staff about cross-contamination. It’s not worth the risk.

They offer gluten free pizza that is pretty good. Lots of options for toppings. As a celiac, I have eaten here a few times now and have not gotten sick. They bake the pizza on a baking pan instead of directly onto the oven surface. They are familiar with celiac and gluten free. My Nima sensor did not detect gluten in the Pizza that was ordered from the gluten safe menu.

Gluten free pizza was okay. They have a separate preparation area for gluten free. The crust was a little soggy but the edges were crispy and good. The service was meh but we ate outside and when we went inside to use the bathroom it was CROWDED. I’m not sure I’d go here again but if your group wants pizza it’s a good option.

I will say that this is one of the most disgusting places I’ve ever been to. Table was dirty and sticky, took forever to get service. I decided to leave with my family to go somewhere else. But then our waitress decided to take our drink order. Place is loud with music and television. I have celiac disease and my heart said leave, but my kids were starving. I ate the ce gluten free pizza and sure enough by the time I left I was nauseous. DO NOT EAT HERE. You have been warned.

I like that they specify the GF pizzas are made in a separate area, gloves and aprons are changed. I got the veg out pizza. The crust was pretty good, but it was not crispy in the middle. I'd go again, but I'd really probably prefer making my own GF pizza at home.

I went to this location yesterday and was very happy with my service and my food. I will be going back for sure and would highly recommend this location.

Great place and great pizza! Three of us with Celiac and absolutely no issues. The food does take longer to come out but, that is because they have one person doing the gluten free prep and cooking so there is no chance of contamination. The menu is clearly marked and I have zero complaints. We will definitely be back.

This place went above and beyond to make our meal safe for our son with celiac disease. When they ran out of gluten free pizza dough, they went to another restaurant who uses the same gf dough and bought some just to make our pizza. This general manager went above and beyond to make sure that we got a certified gluten free meal. My son did not get sick and we would go back again in a heartbeat.
