This place has a “Gluten-Free” menu. My girlfriend has celiac disease. We at off the GF menu. Within 10 minutes she was having major issues. It has been 2 weeks since we are there and it’s still effecting her. Either the food was not GF or there was a major cross contamination problem.
She ordered..
Philly cheese steak
GF bread

My only complaint is the price but otherwise it’s pretty good. They make it very clear which items are gluten free or vegan. You can modify some items on the regular menu for additional options. My wait staff has always taken my allergies seriously and I’ve had no bad experiences so far.

They gave me fries from the same fryer when I asked for coleslaw instead of fries like I originally asked for I was essentially called stupid. Horrific management.

was served gluten after ordering off gluten-free menu, no protocol for celiac safety 0/5 Review of Easton location
No
Staff knew nothing about gluten free or safe practices for celiacs. They just plopped a book in front of me to figure it out on my own. When book yielded no options, I asked for manager who was unhelpful and extremely argumentative when I asked, “what safe options do you offer?” Unacceptable! Review is of Easton location in Columbus, OH.

I've been going here every week now that I have meetings in Cbus and have never had an issue. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Super delicious as well!

Haven't eaten here but called and there is cross contamination. Not taking the risk.

I love Melt!! If you do your homework before you go (which if you have Celiac, I don't know why you wouldn't!) you'll have a delicious meal.
This place is NOT celiac safe. The server seemed to have no knowledge of what gluten actually is and what the restaurant is claiming is gluten free is riddled with cross contamination and fallacies.
No
The serves had no idea what was and what wasn't gluten free. They had gluten free bread but nothing else was celiac safe.

When was the last time you went into a GF food coma? Melt is certainly a reason to be thankful for GF bread!
Staff hasn't been overly knowledgeable on my trips. I'd recommend you know (or ask them about specific ingredients) what sandwiches would or wouldn't be inherently GF. I do my homework when cooking at home, why shouldn't I expect to in a restaurant. No reason to dock them points.
Great sandwiches. There is a $2 up charge for gluten free bread, but the price is worth it because you essentially get two sandwiches! Staff was knowledgeable and as far as I could see (and hear!) the kitchen follows safe practices to avoid cross contamination. Highly recommend!
excellent food, best gf sandwhich yet

I was really cautious about eating here, but it turned out great! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and talked to the kitchen to let them know I was a Celiac. I had a half of the BBQ chicken sandwich and the creamy slaw. Both were excellent and as a pepper lover, the spicy slaw was a real treat! They had a large, separate gluten free menu.

Dedicated GF menu but cross contamination is still possible. Lots of choices on the menu. Service was a bit slow. I’ve only eaten here once and didn’t get sick.

I’ve eaten here safely about 8-10 times, usually having it for both lunch and dinner when at Cedar Point. It’s very tasty and I definitely enjoy the food and having somewhere to eat safely. They have a gluten free fryer, so I’m able to have fries, which I enjoy. The sandwiches are served as doubles, so you really only need to order a “half” which is actually one full sandwich. Just make sure to double check the hours because during the summer season it closed on the early side and my understanding is that for the fall season it’s only open on Saturdays and Sundays.

I have eaten here twice and had a positive experience both times. I ordered a sandwich and one time had Cole slaw and the second time a house salad. They noted that I was Celiac when ordering and I felt fine after eating. If I returned and felt like I had a server who was new or not as knowledgeable, after these experiences I would ask to speak to a manager because they really do seem to care about serving gluten free food safely. There is a statement at the bottom of their GF menu about precautions they take.

Ordered a Cleveland cheesesteak on gluten free bread and the fries were made in a dedicated fryer. Great experience!
