If you like grilled cheese and many varieties of grilled cheese, go here! They are very knowledgeable about celiac and clean the grill and change their gloves, you just have to tell them. They have gfree bread, as well. The food is very good. The staff is kind. Great place to grab lunch.

Really good doesn’t begin to describe this place. Not only was the food delicious, I had the cubano, but the staff is gluten free knowledgeable and friendly. Grill was cleaned and new gloves used for my order. I will be back!

Their food is delicious and they will modify or try to modify almost all of the items for allergy preferences. If you ask they will also scrape down and sanitize the cook station for you. The trick is to order two halves gluten free and you essentially get two whole sandwiches (the bread is of course gluten free and smaller but you get two of them).

I had a poor experience. My first time there. Walked in and the restaurant felt very dirty and dingy. Like someplace the health department probably ought to be visiting. Then the cashier was not very professional or overly friendly and seemed really “rough” like someone with a past history of jail or drug abuse. I felt very uncomfortable. And she had know clue what gluten was. She knew they had gluten free bread but also thought it was in cheese. She had no idea what other ingredients contained it. Some are obvious like pot stickers, but we all know it is in a lot of sauces and other things. I took a gamble on their sandwich that had roast beef and huckleberry. The sandwich was alright. Not amazing, not bad. Not something I’d want to go back for. It was very messy, didn’t have very much cheese, and was very overpriced for what I got. And I got glutened.

We were in town for three days and ate here twice. We are also dairy free. They were very understaffed, as is pretty normal these days, but it was worth the wait. They were very careful with our orders, and neither my daughter or I got sick. So nice to have crispy, gooey, yummy grilled cheese, and their homemade chips are awesome. too.

The food is great, BUT we had to have them remake our two daughters sandwiches. The staff we saw didn’t change their gloves or clean the any surfaces. In fact, we saw the sandwich maker touch regular bread then stick his hands in the gluten free bread bag after he made our kids second sandwich. The attitude we received for requesting they make a new sandwich since it wasn’t made for a person with an allergy. I would suggest them don’t even say they can make food appropriately for those with an allergy and just stick with the dietary choices. We were told the soup was gluten free and the chips weren’t due to cross contamination. If you go here and have an allergy, watch them make it like a hawk.

This place is amazing!!! I can’t say enough good things about it. The employees are knowledgeable and kind about allergies and celiac. They change gloves and wipe the grill. I’ve eaten here three times and haven’t been sick. They also have daiya vegan cheese, which is great if you also have a dairy allergy like me. I recommend the bbq pulled pork, it’s delicious!

I’m not *sure* they have a separate cooking surface for their gluten free bread prep.

Staff was very knowledgeable about what was gluten-free and what was not. They were very friendly and understood what I needed. They asked if it needed to be parked allergy which was great. Great experience overall.
Food was awesome, and tasted amazing.

They can make just about every sandwich gf except for the ones with something fried or ones with soy sauce. I’ve never had an issue eating here. Amazing sandwiches and staff! I love this place!
By far one of the best GF sandwiches I’ve had. The staff are very careful if you tell them you have Celiac- toast in between foil, change gloves, etc. It’s in a funky location but DELICIOUS and affordable!

Wow! As a GF consumer, it was worth driving up from Boise just to eat their Huckleberry barbeque sandwich!
Incredible taste and very allergy friendly with delicious gluten free bread.

The sandwich was delicious and the bread to die for. It didn’t fall apart. The staff was very knowledgeable of what I could eat.

It can be so challenging while traveling to figure out where you ate that got you sick. However this facility when I asked while ordering was very confused on which dips were wheat free. I should’ve turned around and left at that point, however I was on the road and starving so I went against my better judgment. I’m allergic to wheat and celiac. I would not go to this place ever again. Within a few hours my allergies flared up and I’m still having issues (two days later ) which tells me this is more then cross contamination.
The staff was very helpful and were very careful to separate our gf orders from the non-gf orders. The food was delicious!! We’ll definitely go back when we travel through that area. We have 5 gf members in our family and none of us had issues after. If you like gourmet grilled cheese, this is the place.

The staff is knowledgeable about celiac. When you order gluten free, they ask if it's an allergy/celiac issue and change their gloves and clean the grill. The up charge is a little steep The sandwiches are really good, and really rich!

Love the restaurant overall. They don't have a dedicated Gluten Free menu, however they do have GF bread available on any sandwich for $2 up-charge, and (sometimes) they will offer to clean the grill before making your sandwich if you are very sensitive.
Overall my biggest complaint with this restaurant is the price. The basic Grilled cheese costs $6, plus the GF up charge you are going to pay $8 for a basic grilled cheese.
That being said, the food has amazing flavor and is totally worth trying out if you are visiting or are looking for something different.

This place tried to shake up the grilled cheese sandwich. They look Devine ! No gf menu, but they'll make any sandwich with gf bread for $2 more (just a store bought bread, maybe Udi's? She told me?) and clean the grill before they make it which is awesome. A lot of the sandwiches aren't gf so I had to stick with a basic multi-cheese sandwich or you could design-your own. The chips aren't gf, which is a bummer because they look sooooo good too.
Bottoms line I left hungry because I had a small Udi's sandwich while my party had ginormous sandwiches, plus fries etc. there are options if you need to go here with other people, but I wouldn't purposely go here on my own as a gf person. Not because their food is bad, just because of my gf limitations and ability to feel satisfied for the money.
I just had a gluten free Ruben with lots of melted cheese goodness! It was fabulous! What a treat! Meltz has Caesar salad now too, for those of us who can't eat the chips.
They are very understanding of GF peeps and though they don't have a dedicated grill for their GF sandwiches, they were sure to thoroughly clean the grill before making my sandwich. GF bread doesn't TASTE like GF bread, ya know? And GF or not, the sandwich was freaking delicious. I got the Briqueso. It was everything you'd want from a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich. The house-made potato chips, while GF, are fried in a shared fryer, so I chose to avoid them.
The location and atmosphere are off-putting, but they were amazingly fast for it being lunch rush. I cannot recommend this place enough.
