Probably the best GF sandwich I’ve eaten in 10 years. My husband and I got 2 different sandwiches and shared.
When we said I needed GF bread they asked about celiac or intolerant. I appreciated the staff knowing to ask.
I am intolerant and dairy free.
We need something like this in Portland.
We had an amazing lunch here. I got the turkey Gouda sandwich as a salad. They can do any sandwich as a salad and you even get to choose which type of greens you’d like. I believe they offer a gf bread as well. Salad was very fresh and tasty. Their dressings and sauces tend to be on the spicier side so if you don’t like that I’d ask which ones are the least spicy.
this is now one of my favorite places to eat, all you have to do is mark down that you have a wheat allergy and they will make sure your food is celiac safe! the menu lists items that can be made gluten free or that are already gluten free. they also have good vegetarian and vegan options as well! the food is absolutely wonderful. i definitely recommend.
What a great addition to Totem Lake!! There are a lot of different salad and sandwich options, and sides too! The gluten free bread is tasty and normal sized which is a bonus. Salads are fresh, and employees understand allergies and clearly communicated to the kitchen. Highly recommend.
I eat here sometimes weekly and I have always had a good experience. Gluten free items or items that can be made gluten free (RGF Can be Requested Gluten-Free) are marked on the menu.
When ordering, make sure you ask the staff to mark the order down for a wheat allergy (they don’t have a gluten allergy button, but they treat wheat as gluten). This will alert the staff to take precautions to prevent cross contact (change gloves, leave sandwich uncut or use clean knife to cut, etc). If you don’t let them know, they will not take precautions to prevent cross contamination or cross contact even if it’s marked as gluten free on the menu.
My favorites are the Modern Caesar and their Black Tie Turkey Club (seasonal).
