Mestizo is probably my favorite restaurant. I pretty much always get the fish tacos. I am boring and when I find something I like, I generally stick with it. The fish tacos are delicious and unlike any other fish taco I have ever had. They are crispy, and super flavorful. My non celiac partner is always trying new things at restaurants and he generally wants me to taste what he gets as well. Everything I have taste tested for him at Mestizo is suoer tasty and more importantly it's safe for me to eat. The service is always on point too. Dang it... I am getting hungry just writing this review!

Safe food. Very noisy on a Saturday night! They are extremely knowledgeable about any allergens. I felt 100% safe eating their food. My husband and I couldn’t have a conversation, the room was so noisy! They will not go out of business, but I’ll only want to go in the off hours. I hope they get a larger/quieter environment.

The food here is amazing! Everything is gluten-free, so you don’t have to worry. The owner is super nice; I have talked with her many times. I have tried many things on the menu and all are delicious. We usually order the shrimp, empanadas, tacos & the chips & guacamole. The calamari and other appetizers are all great, too! So happy to have found this business 3 years ago. I live across town and still make the trip a couple times per month as it’s that good!

If the restaurant is closing at 9pm, the last seating is at 8:30. This isn't listed on the website and seems to be a hard time (we arrived at 8:34 and were totally rejected, not even asked if we wanted take out). Hopefully this helps someone else from having the same thing happen to them!
After listening to concerns about allowing gluten into their facility they decided to remain a dedicated GF facility. I would have deleted my previous tip but the app doesn’t allow me to edit.

This place is delicious and completely gluten-free! My wife and I both have celiac and we loved this place. The fried food is amazing and is faired well with our stomachs! Highly recommend!

Such a treat! Fresh feeling, plenty of veg and just exacting flavor in every dish. We had the sweet corn empanadas to start and ended up ordering more because they were so good. The Paloma I got was perfect. I had the chicken tostadas and would get them again. A companion had a salad that looked really good. The carne asada was stellar! Get a masa chocolate chip cookie for dessert! Good service too.

Had a delicious Bronzino (Seabass) bowl with rice and beans and lettuce. The flavors were incredible. Highly recommend also had yucca fries and chips and guacamole. You don’t want to miss this place!

Staff was very friendly and happy to accommodate additional allergies! We ordered the guac and the Brussels sprouts as apps, which were both excellent! Our entrees arrived fast (perhaps a little too fast?), but they were hot and flavorful. Our party got the fish tacos, the Mestizo salad bowl, and the Mestizo rice bowl with pork belly. The pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the diverse ingredients gave several tasty layers to the dish. When staff did the "how is everything" check-in, they pointed out that everything we ordered was safe for me (the only person with restrictions), which showed me they were really paying attention.
We brought along a local and she gave her thumbs-up approval. We would eat here again!

We had a wonderful experience trying this restaurant through our Uber Eats app. We tried two varieties of empanadas, the Mestizo salad and the chicken tinga tacos. All were incredibly enjoyable. My daughter said she would happily eat here again. I loved that they had GF and GFV options that were delicious. Don’t hesitate to order from here you wont regret it.

Love this place. Always impressed at the allergen-friendly choices. Tasty as hell.
By far, our favorite meal while visiting. Calamari and shrimp ceviche are both a MUST. Great flavor and spice!! The fried shrimp were great, it’s nice to be able to eat a battered and fried food! Adobo Bronzino was very tasty. Crispy with a nice flavor explosion. We took the cookies to go. Highly recommend Mestizo. The staff is great, too.

This Latin-American restaurant is delightful- from warm and friendly greetings to pleasant and accommodating servers to absolutely delicious food. Everything is gluten free! We ordered all dishes to share. Each dish stood alone as delicious and each complemented the next…colors and aromas and textures. I am so excited to have found Mestizo and wholeheartedly recommend it.

We love Mestizo. The fact that the entire restaurant is gluten-free is a game-changer for us, allowing us to dine family-style and share a variety of dishes without worry. We’ve practically sampled the entire menu by now, and each visit introduces us to something delightful. We had just sat down and ordered and then got a call that I needed to pick up my sick child. Told my waitress, she rushed my order and was so kind! The food was wonderful and the shrimp was bomb! So good. We'll be back!

This was my family’s first time eating at Mestizo and we were not disappointed. I have Celiac and my daughter has a severe dairy intolerance. For once, all 3 of us were able to order several dishes to SHARE! This never happens at restaurants with our many dietary restrictions. My non-GF/DF husband loved everything, too. Note: the entire restaurant is 100% gluten free and Celiac safe, but there is dairy present in some of the dishes. However, it was very easy for them to accommodate us by taking an ingredient off, etc. Our favorites were the fried shrimp, elote, fish tacos, and the chicken tinga tostados. The drinks were also amazing. The waitstaff is attentive and kind and our food came out super fast, but still incredibly fresh. The flavors are what put this restaurant over the top for me. Everything had a very specific (delicious) flavor that made the dish special. Do NOT miss out on the GF gem! (I suggest getting a reservation for weekend nights and possibly even weekday night.) My family and I cannot wait to go back!

Mestizo is great! Everything is safe. I can’t go there without getting at least 1, maybe 2 orders of the Sweet Corn and Queso Empanadas. YUM! My vegetarian daughter and her husband love it there. Everyone can find something they love, no matter their dietary restrictions.

The empanadas here were absolutely delicious! The staff was friendly and the restaurant had a very fun, modern atmosphere. However, the portions and prices could have been better. We found ourselves feeling hungry not too long after eating here unfortunately. Overall, the food was great and very celiac friendly!

Easily one of the best dedicated GF restaurants I’ve been to. I’ve tried half the menu and loved everything, and it fills a neat niche of being affordable enough for casual meals (esp. their rice bowl and amazing rice pilaf) or a fancy high-end treat depending on what you order.
Highly recommend, even if it’s just for take-out!

I just had the best dinner tonight! Battered rockfish tacos were cooked to perfection and so flavorful. The chicken skewer and brussel sprouts was delicious! I cannot wait to order this again. The chefs tonight were on point!

I was hoping to love this place but had a bad experience. The waitress was in a bad mood to say the least. The food tasted like they put ketchup all over the ceviche. We only ordered shared items and no main courses. Nothing I would order again. We want to try it out another time and I will update my review if necessary. Hoping it was just a bad night.

So so happy with this place! Dedicated gluten and soy free, with lots of dairy free options as well! We tried several dishes and hands down, the empanadas were the best! They even had horchata made with coconut milk, which was delicious! Everything is made from scratch and is as locally sourced as possible. Wish I’d had enough room to try more dishes.
