I went out with my family after they excitedly came back and reported they had gluten free items and seemed to be very knowledgeable. While I openly admit my food was pretty good cross contamination is an issue here. I ordered a burger on the gluten free toast instead of a bun and got sick as a dog after. I have never gone back sense.

They stated they couldn't do hashbrowns or home fries GF, so ended up with fruit. The GF toast was dry - no butter. Less than impressive

Lots of GF options. Tried the Philly Cheesesteak. Their green beans are also really good. Looking forward to trying other GF options.

Pretty extensive gluten free breakfast menu! They don’t make you feel like you are limited in choices at all. I also asked for everything to be cooked with the least amount of oil possible and everything was cooked to perfection! Very fast service

I have celiac and am super sensitive, and had no trouble eating breakfast here. The waitress told me that while she didn’t know much about celiac, she was noting it carefully and that the kitchen staff was all knowledgeable. They even have gluten free bread. The food was great and I did not get sick!

GF menu, great food, happy staff...if you eat here tell them I said hello!

Great service and they have gluten free white bread. Very affordable prices. Breakfast served all day also.

Limited menu. Food is good! Breakfast all day.
I love Metro Diner. They are incredibly accommodating, have a large gluten free menu, and take careful precautions. Their gluten free substitutions are very high quality (the sandwich buns are some of the best gf buns I’ve had, you can’t even tell) and many of their items are already gluten free. I’ve never gotten sick here, or at any Metro location, and the waitress here even went above and beyond to make sure I was safe and comfortable. Delicious food, fun atmosphere, and I feel great!

They have a gluten free menu upon request. Servers were very knowledgeable and were upfront about the fact that there was no fryer dedicated to GF food. They recommended substitutions for fries and tater tots because they couldn’t ensure that fries would be safe

I called and they said they had no gluten free options for some reason. Went anyway and they had a bunch of good tasting gluten free options

My mother-in-law ‘loves a diner’ and Metro is our spot - about once a month. I’ve only been diagnosed w celiac disease for 3 months so I’m still navigating it all but I was very impressed w/ Metro. They do not have ‘GF’ indicated on the menu but I’ve had multiple waitresses be very aware and helpful when I tell them ‘celiac’. I usually get an omelet and grits and GF toast. FYI - I asked and they buy Udi’s brand (from Publix) - which is actually very good GF bread.

The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. I do wish they had more child friendly GF options though. My daughter had mashed potatoes and veggies and was happy but it was a little unremarkable.
