Mike’s is my family’s favorite place to go at SIC. They are knowledgeable about cross contamination and gluten free. Many menu items are steamed and place in a separate alum container. I had the lobster tails- yum :) I am celiac

I’ve been going here for years without a problem. Great deals on fresh seafood. I always get the steamed lobster tray for $26, which comes with a 1lb lobster, corn on the cob, and red potatoes. The staff told me they’re not sure if the cole slaw is GF. They recently started wrapping the bread in plastic wrap, so there aren’t any crumbs to worry about at the table. It’s a BYOB too!

There is no GF menu, but if you want steamed seafood, their steamers are safe. I ask for a new bottle of old bay, just in case, but I have never had a problem here. I also get fresh seafood from the market part and take it home to eat. I’ve had the shrimp, all different kinds of crab and lobster. I wouldn’t eat other regularly prepared foods here because I’m sure their kitchens are not GF friendly, but the steamed stuff is.

Mike’s is a fast pace, order at the counter, get your food in foil pans kind of place. BYOB too. Be warned they automatically put bread in the table along with plastic ware. Trade in your plastic ware for clean. When ordering steamed seafood I understood the method for cooking and how it is completely separate from fryer area. They understood the requests and flagged everything for allergy. Usually steamed food is prepared with butter i ordered it GF DF so they steamed it in ONLY old bay. Flounder, shrimp, scallops and lobster tale with red potatoes
