Very accommodating but limited menu. My son gets a burger without a bun and steamed broccoli. I get a grilled chicken salad with wing sauce on the side and a baked potato. Their gf menu says they have a gf pizza for kids but we haven't had it before.
I went here knowing that they don’t have a gluten free menu so I was pretty nervous however, I asked them to make me grilled chicken on foil (plain) and steamed broccoli (plain). I notified them of my restrictions and they accommodated my needs. Overall good experience however I wouldn’t recommend because they no longer have a gf menu (I only went bc I was with a group of people).
I asked my waitress for a gluten free menu and she went to find one and found one within a minute. The manager also came up about a minute later and said ‘I have a gluten free menu.’ Within two minutes I had two of them in front of me.
No GF menu but I ate grilled fish with no issues.
They discontinued their gluten free menu because of "too many issues". Ended up there bc fill insisted we go. The waitress helped me pick out a caesar salad and insisted she would watch the chefs while they made that and the grilled chicken. Dressing on the side. It was okay, but I was anticipating getting sick all night (I didn't). At least they had cider on tap. Overall, I'd say avoid it.
There is a very limited gf menu, but I’ve been twice so far and both times the servers were very knowledgeable and helpful. The last time, The place was very busy because of a Pats game, but the manager took the time to check the ingredient list for each item of the entree to ensure it was completely safe.
We asked the hostess for a gluten free menu. She had no idea so I asked her to speak to the manager. The manager came out and said they could Accommodate us but they didn’t have any actual gf items. He said they had a dedicated fryer for the fries but no gf buns for a burger and to order a burger with no seasonings. He said everything had seasonings and it was not gf. Not sure how a grill with non-gf seasonings is considered to be acceptable. I especially don’t think that is an appropriate choice for this site.
Went to eat at the Ale house last night and was informed that they no longer have a gluten free or celiac friendly menu. Will not be eating here again. The servers weren’t sure what foods were safe or not. Big disappointment.
I called the restaurant to see if they had a gluten free menu and they said they did not. They said they could make suggestions on what foods maybe gluten-free but that doesn’t give me a “warm-fuzzy.”
While I’ve never gotten sick here, I had a waitress roll her eyes at me when I asked for the gluten free menu. I complained to the manager who ended up handling my order and I wanted the mahi mahi. She asked how I wanted it cooked and I replied “which ever is safer.” And she was confused by what I meant. She informed me that they grill it by the steak (which has gluten). So while I haven’t gotten sick that revealed to me that the gluten free meals are subject to cross contamination.
New menu with no gluten free options marked .. staff had no clue
No no no. Although they do have a gluten free menu it’s not worth the aggravation of explaining what gluten is. On the gf menu they have a grilled zingers salad. Which consist of GRILLED chicken and salad. Pretty straight forward. They brought breaded fried zingers on top of salad to my table. She then told me it’s fine the cook told me you can eat it. Wait, what? No!
Not Celiac friendly. Their idea of "GF" options is to just order things that don't have gluten (i.e., burger with no bun). They have no procedures in place. Their famous wings are cooked in common fryers with breading.
Terrible. Inconvenienced the waitress apparently. Ordered the GF cheese pizza and it was seriously the worst I've ever had. It was barely cooked, fell apart when I picked up a piece, and the AMERICAN CHEESE slid right off. Texture was gummy and plasticity, flavor was purely from the canned tasting tomato sauce. Gross.
when we walked in i asked the host if the regular menu had the GF options listed, he looked confused but just said yes. when we sat i checked and it didnt, so i asked the waitress and she pulled the small menu out of her apron. then when she came back to take the order i said I have celiac and was wondering if any of the options would be safer than the others. her response was "i dont even know what gluten is honestly, what is it". so i got scared lol. i ordered a plain cheeseburger and steamed broccoli and was honestly surprised when it came back without the bun. it did have seasoning, when on the menu it said order without. but in the end i feel okay. i also had the titos cosmo. i wont say its celiac safe because not all of the staff seems to understand the disease or why they have these options. the chefs may know, but i can say i wasnt confident trying this place after i placed my order.
I ordered the filet, steamed green beans, and baked potato. Everything came out completely devoid of any seasoning. The gluten free menu did say "steak without seasoning" but I assumed that was some special seasoning that had wheat and they would have at least salt and peppered it.
Good service and GF menu choices. I Would go back again.
Gf selection is very limited and could be a lot better! Delicious food but staff could be much more knowledgeable and helpful. Don't order the gf pizza it was completely stuck to the pan and just ok. Had my child not been very hungry I would have sent it back.
Can't thank our waiter, Potter, the manager, and the staff enough for making sure they took every precaution to make sure my food was made without any cross contamination. Had 0 reactions to the food. They even had gluten free beer that I absolutely loved! Thank you so much again!!! Will return when in the area again.
