Friends I am bummed too but Millie’s is not safe. I have eaten here in the past, felt a bit funky and ultimately wrote it off. Today I sat at the bar and observed the kitchen. Same surfaces used for gf and regular pancakes. Hashbrowns and potatoes also use same griddle area/ spatulas. Omelets made in their own pan so I ate that and it was delicious. Obviously no place is perfect and we take on the risk eating out period but as a sensitive celiac I think everyone should be aware and proceed cautiously.
Loved everything about this place! The food, the staff, the energy were on point! Highly recommend the Devil’s Mess, acai bowl, and the GF chocolate pancake! No reaction to anything. Will definitely be visiting again when in the area (even bought a fun shirt: Service with a F*&k You 😈)
Went here for the first time while visiting L.A. Plenty GF options marked easily on the menu. Food was awesome, friendly service. Plant based and vegan options also. Im bringing my family next time.
The GF Blueberry pancakes & Chai Latte I got were AMAZING! I think the pancakes were the best I’ve ever had, seriously. The service was stellar and our food came out so fast…and piping hot. Definitely recommend a stop here. We’re plenty fueled up for our hike up to Griffith Observatory.
Shared cooking surface on everything, including gluten free pancakes and gluten free waffles and eggs. Also, granola in Acai bowls is NOT gluten free. So... Pretty much nothing you can eat here. Maybe a fruit bowl.
My only go-to place for breakfast food. A-mazing gluten-free pancakes (try them with blueberries!) *Ask for real maple syrup* and get fruit instead of meat. Complete with eggs and potatoes, this is always a great meal I can indulge in. They also have plenty of gluten-free egg dishes and even gluten-free bread. I don't get sick from Millie's like I do from every other breakfast cafe I've tried around here.
They have some great breakfast dishes that don't normally contain gluten (at least not by the looks of the ingredients) HOWEVER, the only products they have that are strictly gluten free are waffles, pancakes and sandwich bread -- which is great but I wouldn't categorize this restaurant as having a gluten free menu as this site says.
My new favorite breakfast spot! AMAZING toast, pancakes, the works!
