Nice selection of GF breakfast items. Server was knowledgable.
They had a few pieces of paper printed out and stapled together with suggested menu items. It hadn't been updated since 2014. I'm gluten sensitive. I wouldn't trust it if I was celiac. Update... I got glutened. I think it was cross contamination on the grill.
I told my waitress FIVE times I couldn't have anything with wheat, it was like poison to me. She promised to check with the chef and then brought me the tomato basil soup and a basket of bread. I had her remove the bread. The soup had wheat and made me sick. I wrote the corporate office to ask them to educate their servers and they didn't even respond. I won't go there again.
I ordered the salmon, spinach, and potatoes off of the gluten free menu and while eating found a French fry in my potatoes. The French fries are fried in a fryer that is used for everything else...I made my waiter aware of this and he sent the manager to my table. She apologized and offered to switch my meal for something else. I calmly explained to her that I am, fortunately, only sensitive to gluten and so I could still eat my food but for someone with celiacs this was a big deal. She offered to bring me a muffin or dessert to make up for it. Yep. She offered a muffin. NOT A CELIAC FRIENDLY PLACE. But, as I said I am sensitive to gluten (and still in the early stages of transitioning back to a gluten free diet--I was silly enough to go off of it when my results for gluten intolerance came back negative but that's a whole different story) and so I kept my original food but probably won't go back.
A separate menu is required; items are not marked. They clearly state cross-contamination may be an issue. There are no GF bakery items. I had the GF Eggs Benedict on hashbrown pancakes. It was delicious. The server was great, but the food was very slow coming out. Don't go if you're in a hurry.
Had a great dinner. Menu is limited for entrees, but the salads are filling and large. Great soup options. But the piéce de rèsistance is the dessert, petite chocolate mousse! It is worth the trip! You will not be disappointed!!
I was NOT impressed. Their gluten free menu consisted almost entirely of salad. No meat and potato type dishes were available. Just salads with salmon and such on top. Extremely disappointing. Not only that but then the server brought us a basket of bread.. Seriously?
Mimi's new French Bistro menu allows for family and friends enjoy full meals (including desserts) when dealing with allergy restrictions. Everything is fresh and the staff is well trained in allergen sensitivity and their menu. Portions are perfectly sized and their Salmon is Wild Atlantic so no farm raised or a Pacific radiation fears. The Cioppino is Gluten/dairy free and delicious.
They have a binder with gluten free options listed. You may need to ask for the "allergy" binder.
