This place did not disappoint. They asked if the GF was a preference or Celiac, and when I said Celiac they explained they make the doughnuts in the back to avoid cross contamination. I tried the French Toast, Lemon Coconut and Maple Bacon. They were warm and fantastic! (Note the GF versions aren’t mini, so be prepared to take some home if you want to try multiple flavors.)
Cold doughnut. Very gross. Got sick immediately after.
The only shop we have ever been to for GF donuts. My Celiac girls were in heaven when they not only got to get GF donuts but 3 topping (buttercream, peanut butter, and sprinkles) donuts. A child's delight for sure....and adults too. Donuts were prepared in the back. Donut awesomeness!! :-)
Loved the birthday birthday cake donuts. They are dangerously good. The GF donuts take a bit more prep. They prep them in the back with separate toppings.
They were super easy to order gluten free, they are very celiac friendly. They prepare the donuts in a separate gluten free prep station in the back, they automatically knew not to touch mine in the front with the same gloves, and on top of everything else it was delicious. I haven’t had a donut in years and this was so exciting for me. Service was also really great.
Had 2 gluten free doughnuts. 2 stars because the doughnuts were soggy as the frosting melted through and off the doughnuts. I wasn’t sure how to tell if they were actually GF and didn’t eat much for fear of gluten / cc.
Amazing GF donuts and they’re always super safe. Separate prep area and everything.
The staff was extremely helpful in helping me pick out safe toppings. The doughnuts were delicious!! I will definitely be back on my next trip.
great donuts, they made the GF in the back with safe toppings. The staff was very aware of allergies.
The GF donuts were prepared separately which was cool. I wasn’t completely sure which toppings were and weren’t GF or the frostings - i probably should have asked but didn’t. I didn’t get sick or have any issues though.
Separate kitchen for GF. So many choices. I'm in love!
AMAZING GF doughnuts! Made to order in a dedicated space. My daughter who has Celiac had them with no problems at all. They’re very knowledgeable about celiac and even mark the order to take extra precautions. Will be back every trip to Tampa! Regular donuts are amazing as well!!
I can not tell you how long it has been since I have actually had a doughnut! Their Gluten-Free Doughnuts are made in a dedicated area and are absolutely AMAZING. The incredible staff was just the icing on the cake! (oops-I mean doughnut) :)
Great experience. Very busy at 12:30 on a Saturday. Received quick service and the person ringing us up knew exactly which toppings were not gf. The best gf donuts we've eaten-warm and cakey but not dense or dry. Highly recommend. No post-meal issues but it isn't a dedicated bakery.
Has the absolute best gluten free donuts I've ever had. Well worth it and a great price. Would definitely come back again without a doubt.
Delicious gluten free donuts with great glazes and toppings to choose from. Never had a bad experience! And they are on Uber eats!!
Update July 2016: Quit going to the Mini Doughnut Factory a couple months ago for a couple of reasons. First, the customer service. The young man who is always at the register, (short blonde hair with a pony tail) insists on calling me and every other female of every age that I've seen while in there, "sweetheart". Young man, I'm not you're sweetheart. I'm old enough to be your mother, probably your grandmother. You don't seem willing to change your habits, either, despite my suggestion that you address me appropriately. You are bad for business. Second reason I quit going: Each time I ordered a dozen doughnuts, they were prepared in the back, separately, as expected. Then the person making my order would bring the box out to the counter where they serve/prep the glutinous doughnuts, which is generally covered with crumbs, and slide the box across the counter. We maintain a GF kitchen at home, so why would I want my box of GF doughnuts slid through a bunch of glutinous crumbs? Better staff training on all fronts is needed at Mini Doughnut Factory. You have a good product, MDF, and we need businesses offering GF products safely, so please train your staff! 3 stars for product quality -2 stars for customer service issues -------------------------------------------- Knowledgeable customer service, separate gluten free fryer and toppings. Made up my order in the back away from regular doughnuts orders being prepped. The GF doughnuts were so good, my non-gf/non-celiac husband chowed down on several of them! Loved the maple, and plain are so good. We will both be back, so happy to have you in the neighborhood, with accessible hours. Good coffee, too, and locally roasted. 👍🏻
We are in Tampa for our daughters volleyball tournament. She has celiacs, so you could see how a donut shop would worry us but we decided to check it out! The gluten free was being made as we got there so we got to see where they were made ( in a dedicated fryer) and then you choose your glaze, toppings and drizzle! You can pick any toppings and the donut is only $1.65!!! They were delicious😋 also the owner and his wife were so helpful and friendly!
Great customer service and delicious gluten free donuts!
