Hubby and I and one of our dogs must be gluten free. Mission is one of our favorite places to go. One of their employees is gf. Most of menu is gf, as long as you don’t get cornbread and the cashier calls the order back so they avoid cross contamination. Even fries can be made gf. Just ask!

Went here on a whim last night and was blown away. First and foremost, I’m super picky about my BBQ. We move every couple years so I’ve sampled bbq from all over the US. This stuff was GOOD!

There is so much here that is GF and they don’t make you feel like a moron for asking questions about prep. Everyone there was so nice!

I ordered a 3 meat sampler: Turkey, brisket, and plain sausage. They were all delicious! I was warned that the only brisket left was lean brisket and it would be a little drier. But it wasn’t dry AT ALL. It was tender and flavorful! I am impressed!

I also ordered cole slaw (decent- I like a sweet slaw like the kind they have at KFC best. But this was midway on sweetness) and French fries. And oh my lord the fries not only are cooked in their own fryer, but also they ARE THE GOOD KIND (darker brown with skins)!!! They are seriously delicious!

I believe there’s one sauce that’s not GF. I had the Alabama white sauce, the classic, and Memphis Belle. The classic was absolutely fantastic but I’m a wimp with spice and even after trying to force myself to eat it, I couldn’t take the heat. The Belle was a great runner up though.

When your food is ready (we ordered takeout), they open the boxes and show you your food. They seem to really care about making your experience perfect.

My only beef with the place- CREAMED CORN. Please put creamed corn on the menu! Okay, and maybe a GF banana pudding :)

Delicious gd bbq meats and fries! Staff wipes down surfaces and changes gloves when preparing gf orders. Very accommodating.

Food is delicious but Im giving only 4 stars because my entire order needed to be gluten free and more than half the order was not only gluten free but just totally wrong. Called the restaurant before we left the parking lot and they redid the entire order and gave us some extra food for free. They corrected it and it was delicious, just be careful and check your order before you eat. I think they were just overwhelmed with the number of people ordering at that same time.

Super knowledgeable staff and well-versed in celiac, staff has family member with celiac diagnosis. Has a dedicated GF fryer for fries. Very lovely experience and people here. Tastes great :)

My daughter has celiac and has had no reaction. The employees make sure to communicate that there is a gluten issue when preparing her food. Dedicated fryer for fries!

Mission BBQ was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great and I could even have french fries. I would definitely go back.

This is my second visit to Mission in 6 months. I don't recall what I ordered in December bit it didn't bother me. This trip I ordered the smoked hamburger without a bun (no gf option) with mashed potatoes. This will be a regular visit when I'm in DE.
